Maya wins after fighting off 4 match points to secure her top 50 ranking & winning her biggest title in a tough 3 setter.

Also a call out to 18yr old Alana Subasic who was knocked out of the semi final but it’s her 4th semi final in 5 week in a row - so she is on a hot streak currently.

Re Maya, in the last 12 months, she’s won tour-level titles on clay and grass and is skyrocketing up the WTA rankings
Earlier, Hobart SF on hard, then wins Rabat on clay.
And then, overnight, Maya Joint saves four championship points in a thrilling third-set tiebreak to claim the Eastbourne Open - winning 6-4 1-6 7-6 (10) against Filipino Alexandra Eala (also playing her first WTA final).

This happens after 4 match points saved
Down 2-5 in the tiebreak
Simply unreal, Maya has gone relatively unnoticed this year, but her tennis is the real deal
Only 19 years old - 2nd title of 2025
So it's now top 50 ranking debut on Monday

Maya is now ranked 41st and she also won through to the doubles final. Her confidence is climbing and her best part of the season is coming up after Wimbledon.
