OFFICIAL Terrell May #296

He was correct but play to the gotdamn whistle.. KLOWN should be sacked for that decision, but word on the street is that he had a fat wad of$ on Curran to score 2 plus and collected Bigly… it’s a rort that KLOWN us consistently in the bunker for tigers games especially after his cowboys howler and no matter what some bs report says I will forever suospect KLOWN had money on the cowboys to win that game…
The thing I find strange is why Klown did not officiate a single WT's game for almost three years! We had him in Round 19, 2021 then he went AWOL until Round 15, 2024, although we had a normal distribution of Klown sightings in the box throughout, including Klowngate in FNQ on 24/07/22. Was there some factor influencing refereeing appointments beyond ordinary rotation?

He needs something, but he wanted marquee player money which now limits our ability to sign a genuine powerful and intimidating middle.
I disagree. I think May is worth the money.

The player you are wanting doesn't HAVE to be name Leniu or something that comes with a price tag to match. Stowers-Smith at the Warriors, McIntyre & Mikaele at the Cowboys etc- do a great job in spot duty.

If May & Fainu are up front- and Fainu WILL get paid- we have the star power required. You need the spot duty guys that assist. Go get Zyon Maiu'u on next to nothing & tell him to run toward the opposition as fast as he can.

I wouldn’t pay big money to Leniu as he drifts in and out of games which is why no coach plays him for big minutes and he is a sloppy and sometimes lazy defender.
No guarantee we would have got him particularly once the Sharks come in with a big offer, but we made a bad mistake when we stopped pursuing Addin Fonua-Blake as he is exactly the type of intimidating middle we need.

May has been playing poorly for months. His second stint tonight was better than he’s played for a while, but his intent to break a tackle or for pcms is non existent.
If he’s our best front rower it’s no wonder our pack is dominated every week.
The Dogs completely out enthused us from the kick off. They simply ran harder and tackled harder with unbelievable line speed and super fast ptbs.
We were better in the second half and showed some intent in our D. We started to win some momentum until Latu did another one of his stupid tackles - honestly the guy hasn’t figured out that he needs to use his arms in a tackle!!
We have to go back to the drawing board in A - we look totally lost and don’t even look like we can score.

The team has waived the white flag weeks ago. The so called leader is departing for cash, multiple players are injured and shouldn’t be taking the field. Season is dusted. It’s time to give some kids a run move forward. We need to get something out of the rest of the season.

I couldn’t care for a couple of wins. After Canberra game I want to see Latu. Andrews in the halves, AD at lock and Twal at prop and Tavana to play the year out on the wing.
Luai, Skelton, Toa and anyone going can go on holidays.

AD shouldn't be playing mate.

Agree about the kids. I have been saying it for 15 years, the only way out for this club is kids. Youngsters who arent scarred, who have no fear, who are hungry for a chance and success.

That would be a real chance of coming to fruition if we had tall, athletic and fast juniors coming through, but the only ones making 1st grade lately are a bunch of midgets, 15,000 juniors strong and bugger all that fit the perfect football mould.

They dont have to be our juniours. Look at the Fainus. None were regular first graders, we got them just when they were looking for opportunity.

We have the halves. We have the fullback "albeit he is in poor form right now". We have Makasini, Saukuru. Totua brothers, Roberts. If we have those types of players, there are many clubs who have better just looking for their chance. Those are the ones we pounce on.

Moors to play off the bench 10-15 minutes a game and also give the prop we got from Canberra a run see if he has anything to offer sometimes they just need an opportunity to kick on

It's an obvious strategy on paper that would work but can't be as easy as it sounds, other clubs seem to identify those with potential and lock them up, though we did get lucky with the Fainu's, at the time had their progression blocked.

Clubs just seem to be smarter in this area now, but I guess every now and then a log jam of talent will happen, it just doesn't with any regularity.
