Ridiculous, He was playing on the Wing he never plays there. He has been playing Fullback for years, obviously he won't be perfect.

thats because Teddy played out of position.
But Moltzen is doing not bad.
I'd like to see Teddy @ fullback
but Moltzen aint doing too bad.

Found out alright , found out of position !!! Punt Moltzen and put Tedesco where he belongs.Sadly Moltzen offers nothing ..

If you going to start a moronic thread at least have the decency to spell the kids name correctly.

How was he found out ? The centre went in so he had to go in… that is what they are taught.
Where was the fullback coming across in cover ?

I will just ask you that question again I know you are a bit slow....Where was the fullback coming across counting the numbers ?

Yes he dropped the ball from a kick in his 1st full game in the top grade...big deal his a rookie and probably a little nervous that sort of thing happens even to a lot more experienced players.

By the way Lyon touched that ball as you can see here: http://weststigersforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=393109#p393109

If you have a copy of the game try this for me if you can

When Williams scores on Teddy's wing on both counts count how many Manly attackers are there and then count how many Tigers defenders there are

We didn't number up ,which is either the fullbacks fault (he calls the defensive line into place ) or a player out of position

Seeing that close to the line you are supposed to go man on man and stop sliding ,someone was caught out of position

Then again as a fullback ,you make the call for the side to go man on man so either way ….....

Exactly right Blackandwhite. Our left edge defensive problems that make our wingers look bad has roots further in field. If anything Tedesco did quite well when you pay attention to how little room Wolfman had to work in.

BlackandWhite, Shouldn't that read ,Big deal 'he is' a rookie ..?…....BlackandWhite you come across as an angry old man. lighten up a little and stop trying to belittle people with your smart ar##e comments.!!!

Funniest thing was Moltzen trying to offload to Tedesco for a kick return. "Nah mate your the fullback you run it back"

Tedesco did well nearly forced Williams out and made Lyons through a forward pass. Much better when at fullback. Good save with his feet. 1st game wet night he can only get better.

Banged Up just remember what happened the first time James played top grade , he would of been nervous as all hell

And while you are throwing the comments around ,why don't you pull your head in and listen to someone who knows a hell of a lot about the game

not sure if your wearing your glasses Happy but i love Tedesco and want him as our fullback, i think you have mistaken me for a post i never wrote.. ^^^

Wing is such a hot spot position in the current game. Agree with a few threads. Teddy had a problem with the inside defence not being there. He was dam if he did or didn't. You don't have time to make a cuppa and decide. The humidity and rain made conditions shocking to play in. If Coach I would be more looking at the those marking up inside of Teddy and where were they??? Again it was on our left flank. Don't forget he was marking no mug, who himself dropped a few balls. Re the bomb he missed, he didn't drop it, it just bounced off his chest. That happens in humid and wet conditions. He could play another 100 games and it might never happen again. Remember,,,it was Teddy FIRST GAME back in 1st Grade after a full knee re-con! I was very impressed with him. I thought he brought the ball back well, steps of his left really well whilst still moving forward, would like to see him to be able to step off both feet. Keep him on the wing. Moltzen, has done enough for now to still be with the 1st Grade.

Read your post , B&W is supporting Tedesco and you had a shot at him

My point is B&W has a very good understanding of the game

If you weren't having a shot at him , fair enough I apologize

i have a very good understanding of the game as well having played and coached all my life and having sons who play the game, doesn't mean i have to resort to personal potshots at other forum members who state there opinion like he does…

He was playing in an unfamiliar position so give the kid a go our red zone defence is suspect at the best of times so as some have said inside defenders needs to number up.
But I will say this Tedesco looks much bigger than last year anyone know how much he's bulked up I remember him quite short too but seems taller still growing I guess

Agree with most of this Les (aren't you supposed to be a Roosters man ?).
I must say however that dropping a bomb is dropping a bomb whether it bounces off your chest, slips through your arms, falcons into the grandstand or squeezes out from under a sultry armpit. Tedesco dropped it and I felt for the lad. I did like the way he kept coming though, didn't drop his head, despite the bomb spill and then the flurry of Wolfman tries down his edge.
Also wrapped in how Timmy Moltzen's going. Given all the brickbats he's copped … here and elsewhere ... he's shown a ton of character in the opening month. He deserves to keep the one jumper ... for now anyway.

Snoddy, I have that footy card in some hidden shoebox! Old Les is a Rooster,,,Young Les is a TIGER! Re, Teddy putting the bomb down, I agree a drop is a drop. It was bounce off, can't explain what I am trying to say! And he has put plenty of size on Young Teddy.
