I’m hearing Sheens isn’t keen on Pangai. Hope Madge signs him before Sheens gets here lol

Sounds like Sheen is already at work for us... lets see if he can attract top players here

Another Gareth Ellis, thanks.

Pangai is on 600k this year and 800k next year.
Broncos are willing to pay 350k next year and have already paid half this years salary. I’m told it will happen Broncos have leverage over Pangai stemming from last years
incident.

If the Tigers can get Pangai on 450k a season he’s worth the risk and can be a game breaker.
Broncos have overpaid forwards Pangai, Lodge, Haas and bent their cap out of shape.

This move is wise whilst he is a loose cannon and gets suspended he’s very strong and rarely is not one of the best forwards on the field. I’m all seriousness he’s better than any forward we have.

Told it will happen by a reliable source?

Would definitely be a huge plus for us.

Yep. There will be more carnage for broncos club is more toxic than the tigers under Jason Taylor. Good young players also want out Hetherington, Farnworth, Beullemor and other senior players being told to leave.

Are we giving them Billy because that will surely ease a toxic culture bringing in the coaches son who isn’t an overly good footballer ?

I've met Billy Walters, really nice solid young bloke, whatever you think of him as a footballer.

Comes across as a really nice guy and is incredibly knowledgeable about the game, he really impressed me and I think he will make an excellent coach one day. Not a great player though

He’s injury set him back a bit.

He was pretty fit coming out of Melbourne to us. Was always good in D and had a few good games with us.

Needed more games under his belt but picked up a bad injury always hard to recover from that and playing nsw cup

I can confirm that TPJ has looked at out facilities and was very impressed. He also like Madge. The only concern is he’s manager doesn’t want him to come from a struggling team to another, so the weekend result didn’t help our cause. In saying that we are in a good position to sign him.

There you go!!! The demountables ain't so bad after all...

No but the COE is amazing, honestly I have been in the demountables and they are so much better than the old facilities.

I was thinking they met him at the Airport and pulled out the building plans

They have a virtual walk through that shows what it is going to be like. It is on a different planet to what this club is used to.

again why do the fans know nothing, apart form the special few? easy to post it online, its not a state secret

Probably because Cochise is a little closer to the club than your average fan.

Granted it'd be nice to see some advertised progress pics and the like, but they are probably waiting until it's completed and then will have fans open day.

Lol, someone must have read your post mate.

Did I read somewhere where they said this should be ready around Xmas ?
Looking at the development I would think that date is no chance

Looks like there preparing or have done the level 2 pour. Once thats done fitout will move alot quicker then structurals.
From experience with ADCO will be like 50 trades on site running into each other

Someone suggested Pascoe reads stuff on here dunno how true it is but you never know. IMO if he does read stuff on here he should have been aware of the fact that he looks as though he sleeps in his car :flushed:

Ive actually spoken about that with him, when I interviewed him earlier in the year i made a joke about it.

I don’t think Sheens is going to be involved in that level of recruitment anyway.

The weird argument I am hearing is Pangai doesn't "address Tigers' need for stability and leadership". OK but he certainly addresses our need for explosive power, game-changing ability and second-phase. Unless we are talking about only having salary cap space for 1 player, can't we sign both an aggressive forward and a durable reliable experienced forward?

As they say "why not both?"

He’s an improvement that’s for certain. People forget even with a rebuild you need some players to make a difference in the short term.

So now Peter Badel is saying Tigers have there work cut out for us as Dogs and Titans are interested in TPJ also.
I think B Read said Dragons are looking also.
If thats the case we are at very long odds now of snaring him and hope we were not the ones delaying the process and thats why others have joined in... He is clearly a wanted player so hope we at least table an offer.

Ikin has already said in the past they should move TPJ on so you would have to think that will be a yes.
We should offer a swap with Walters or Mbye but I cannot see Walters going there now as Ikin won't allow for it and Walters Snr seems like is is losing power. Maybe TPJ and Mbye would be a good swap for them and they would extend his deal over a few years. My gut feeing is we miss out on TPJ and keep our 2 :disappointed:

Is anyone in the know (eg @THE_POM @cochise) able to provide an update on TPJ?

The news that we were frontrunners was the only thing that got me through that torrid game against Melbourne. If we continue to miss out on big name players this will be another season of "rebuild" down the pisser.

I will save you all the trouble

I don’t see either of those teams as being any better options than us. I certainly wouldn’t be putting up the white flag because they are involved.

When is the last time we signed a player who was wanted by another club?
