If thats the case we are at very long odds now of snaring him and hope we were not the ones delaying the process and thats why others have joined in... He is clearly a wanted player so hope we at least table an offer.

I don’t see either of those teams as being any better options than us. I certainly wouldn’t be putting up the white flag because they are involved.

When is the last time we signed a player who was wanted by another club?

Who else was after Maumolo? We were the only team mentioned.

Doueihi also had the Roosters interested

That’s the last one I can recall.

They were offering peanuts, and told him he would play centre, he didn't want to play centre, now look

To be fair, centre is Doueihi’s best position?

I’m still not sure of that. I think he’s a good 5/8, didn’t get enough of a chance there.

I agree I think he can still make a good fist of 5/8 my personal opinion is he wasn’t giving the ball outside him often enough, which is why I think Madge shifted him and bought in Mbye. He made a good transition to the centre’s and Mbye was ok at 5/8 you have to try and use your supposed marquee somewhere. The point is he can always have the shifting of the ball coached into him the kid is classy and bleeds for us you can tell he actually cares unlike some who just pick up pay cheques

yes agree he looked to run almost all of the time, with the exception of the harbour bridge pass to a winger. plenty of potential at 5/8 though

No but the COE is amazing, honestly I have been in the demountables and they are so much better than the old facilities.

I was thinking they met him at the Airport and pulled out the building plans

They have a virtual walk through that shows what it is going to be like. It is on a different planet to what this club is used to.

again why do the fans know nothing, apart form the special few? easy to post it online, its not a state secret

Probably because Cochise is a little closer to the club than your average fan.

Granted it'd be nice to see some advertised progress pics and the like, but they are probably waiting until it's completed and then will have fans open day.

Lol, someone must have read your post mate.

Someone suggested Pascoe reads stuff on here dunno how true it is but you never know. IMO if he does read stuff on here he should have been aware of the fact that he looks as though he sleeps in his car :flushed:

Ive actually spoken about that with him, when I interviewed him earlier in the year i made a joke about it.

What did you say and what was his reaction?

Shock horror.

The fire sale at Brisbane has begun.

I expect Lodge, Pangai, Oates and Isaako to all be released early. Among others.
Remember when everyone denied the Tigers and Pangai were courting each other!!! Rugby league. How good.

Also… understand Pangai and Broncos decision. Tevita and his manager saw writing on wall and made first move. Broncos are trying to overhaul list and create cap space.

didnt read https thing but Donahue n Ikin r magicians ifthey pull that cap into place inthe short medium term

Looks like off to the dogs as he wants to ruin his own career there and retire early and never play rep footy again.. ciao..

The old gym looked like a backdrop from escape from Alcatraz

Yeah it was horrible, you know you had it rough when moving into demountables is an upgrade.

I can't wait for people to see **the COE**, it really is nothing like this club has ever had.

Just out of interest, are we the last club to bring this type of initiative in?
I know a few clubs have them, but not sure if all have them?

There aren't too many clubs with them - Penrith, Raiders definitely do. Manly are getting one. Storm facilities are pretty good, as are the Eels. Sharks high performance centre is a decent gym in the southern grandstand.

The WT facilities will surpass all other clubs in the NRL, so we have no excuses as far as training facilities are concerned heading into next year.

Just players , recruiting players , winning games and Geo

Is it though ? He was winger of the year . The guy is one of those contract year players . It sux . Because you have to pay him his value , and Murphy’s law says the moment he signs with someone else , because you think he’s a contract year player , he maintains that form .

winger of the year the guy had a good year but still had defensive issues hence despite his good try scoring year he could not break in to origin.
We signed him for 4 years should have been a maximum of 3 years. He will be our Mansour problem in 3 years when we will be desperate to offload him

They don't. Giving average players lengthy contracts on too much money.

that's called stupid re-signings

Is it though ? He was winger of the year . The guy is one of those contract year players . It sux . Because you have to pay him his value , and Murphy’s law says the moment he signs with someone else , because you think he’s a contract year player , he maintains that form .

winger of the year the guy had a good year but still had defensive issues hence despite his good try scoring year he could not break in to origin.
We signed him for 4 years should have been a maximum of 3 years. He will be our Mansour problem in 3 years when we will be desperate to offload him

In 3 years ? You are an optimist !

I know lol
the length of contract is what will kill us
thanks inspector gadget perhaps you can take Munster out for a meal next time

So now Peter Badel is saying Tigers have there work cut out for us as Dogs and Titans are interested in TPJ also.
I think B Read said Dragons are looking also.

Not sure if re-signings count, but Nofa and Musgrove were wanted by Eels and Dragons respectively.

he was never the best winger...ever. May have won an award, but in reality the way that is scored puts him at an advantage. 3/2/1 advantages players in poor teams. Rat ether 1-17 each game and then you have something
