In a negotiation, you make an offer, if the player comes back and say I want more money and you turn around and say we are not prepared to offer more so are ending the negotiation. In that scenario you are ending the negotiation not the player. We weren't outbid, we decided that TPJ wasn't worth the money he wanted, we rejected his offer and ended negotiations.

that is what being outbid is all about one party outbids another and you pull out. If you didn't want the product or player you would never have made a bid in the first place.

No party outbid us, that's the point mate. We were interested, no one has said we weren't, his asking point was more than we were willing to pay so we terminated the negotiation.
