The dogs can look forward to the most judiciary appearances in 2022. TPJ and Hetherington alone make up a season of suspensions...

They can also look forward to a significantly improved roster though. If you were a Dogs fan you’d be looking forward to next year. Us not so much.

Dogs will finish behind us

This year most likely, next year not likely

How so? They’ve improved their roster and we haven’t.

I thought it was the Coach not the roster..

Barrett had a superior Roster at Manly than he has now.. didn't do much..

They won't make finals though. 3 good players doesn't fix the rest of the bums and their awful coach

They need a halfback, a fullback and a hooker if they want to compete. Solid forward pack but they're a bit boneheaded

Its one thing to say we're having a fire sale to clear the decks but if there's no interest (in the players that have run last for the last two seasons), then I'm not sure how successful the fire sale will be....

I mean they're paying DWZ to play for the Warriors, Luke Thompson has been a bust, Nic Cotric hasn't fired a shot and they still haven't signed a dummy half for next year.

A big part of the on-going issues at the Broncos was that the roster got so bent out of shape.

But they’ll still be closer than us and will show signs of improvement, couple that with big money and players will want to go there

Who has he signed with?

Dogs effective immediately

I cannot for the life of me understand our recruitment. Sure TPJ might not be a cleanskin but he is so much better than what we have. Honestly we would have trouble attracting a fly to a bbq.

They might have signed Burton, JAC and Pangai Junior, but remember we’ve signed Jackson Hastings and Oliver Gildart

How true, don't know how our big name signings escaped me.

Thompson is definitely not a bust. As hard working as forwards come and can actually dent the line

It is very disheartening mate, even the Dogs have got 4 good signings for next year, all 4 would walk in to our side

They could improve next year but they should have improved this year but they didnt. The dogs are worse this year than last year, they spent big dollars on their roster for this year and their signings have flopped.
Signing NAME players does not guarantee success

Got a whole lot more to do if they want finals. If they can't do it within the next 2-3 years they'll end up in the same spot they're in now

Thompson is better than any prop we have, and can play big minutes too

I think that’s what people said about the Titans last year, and they came 9th last year. Fifita and Tino were both top quality rep players.

JAC is the only proven rep quality player they’ve signed, Tyrone May is keeping Burton out of the halves and they’re carrying Cotric, Thompson and Flanagan on big dollars. TPJ hasn’t even got a look in for NSW. No doubt they’ll be in the same salary cap mess we were in over the last couple of years.

Done?

Done, the dogs are going to have a fire sale to clear the decks

I thought I read it somewhere that he didn’t want to go to dogs? Can’t wait for the fire sale.

Yep going for the old dumpster dive, it's what we do best.

But have they got any players over 30 that are looking for a four year deal?

They won’t be Tigers are a better team than the dogs even with the players they’ve signed.
Burton the exception. They’ve spent 1.5m on two wingers, 700k on a forward that gets suspended very often. They will have limited cap to work with for a while as a result. How they haven’t signed a gun halfback, fullback or hooker is the issue. The Tigers are going in another direction which I like. It will be painful though.
