Well it's about time that most if you are hammering Benji for his lackluster and pathetic performances.

In my last thread, there is an overslwhelming majority of forumers that are fed up! I have been for about 5 years now.

To read that he is going to be offered a $4 million contract extension simply astounds me. It doesn't make sense! Humphreys is making another terrible decision similar to the one he made when he re-signed Sheens. Benji is simply too arrogant and selfish. He doesn't seen to care and his eye is on the money.

He's always commenting on how much more players should be earning and I find this extremely disrespectful considering what he is earning and what the majority of rugby league supporters are earning. He should say that stuff in private to his manager and the club.

Also, why do you think his manager is trying to negotiate a deal now? Martin Tauber knows that NO OTHER club will pay anywhere near $900k a year so he is striking while the iron is hot. Lets secure this deal before the Tigers realise this.

Humphreys is too dumb to tell Benji to test the market. LET HIM GO!

Miller, Moses, Brooks, Sironen! We have quality juniors and they will be wasted with Benji still there. He is too selfish to let our halfback, whoever it may be, to steal the show!

I can't believe this clown is getting a contract extension. He's part of the reason we suck, players like him, Blair, Anasta, Lawrence, Moltzen take so much room when none of them would make any other first grade team.

Marshall is absolutely terrible. He can't kick accurately, he is impatient and ruins the attack, his defense is pathetic, he is slow, he can't pass and make right decisions, he can't command respect from his team, he has favourites who always play, he can't organise the team, he goes missing and never shows up against good teams.

Please let him go. Please. End the Benji Marshall era before he ruins the Tigers.

I believe he deliberately made the wrong decision in defence to avoid a soft running Tony Williams, allowing a soft try. If the extend his contract so far out from it expiring with no other club chasing him then what can u say?????? Its incomprehensible

I can't see the club NOT re-signing him and there are fair enough reasons for that. However there's no doubts that Benji needs an almighty kick up the backside. He needs a reality check. I thought the Kiwi captaincy may've done it but obviously not. He needs to be told the blunt truth. He is so far below his best it is not funny. Will he rise again? Yes, of course he will but this form needs to improve and it needs to improve fast.

No doubt he should not have played, it did nobody any favours, most of all the team and then himself. It was a terrible decision.

Benji was very ordinary last night… He was either injured in which case he shldnt have played, or he is disinterested which case he should be dropped.. He has not shown any leadership during this crisis... Unlike Farah...

Yes mate he just doesn't seem to care look at the woeful attempt on williams..thats what annoyed me.Does any senior in any other club make the mistakes that he makes….flash in the pan plays and every now and then they pay off....not enough for the money he commands

there was a link in another thread to a BM website that has a 20 min tape of his career highlights. Watching it really highlighted how dangerous and effective he used to be when working 2 or 3 passes off the ruck with the centres/wingers/full back when he was able to use his speed/deception to either make a break or create something from someone else. Most of the best plays didn't come from within the opposition 20 but rather 40 plus meters out where there was plenty of room/time to create the play. http://www.benjimarshall.com.au/

IMO the only way we will ever get any benefit from him in the future is if his responsibilities for around the ruck plays and kicking are removed and he is made to work with the centres/wingers/full back out wide and out of the opposition 20.

I'm actually amazed its taken so long for everyone to finally realise how bad he actually is. Are you's totally blind? or has your optimistic hope finally ran out?.
If you haven't realised already I've been bashing him for about the same time as b&g. I'm kinda shocked so many have changed their tune towards him its caught on like wildfire I always knew the day would come but like I said it took longer than expected, I hate to say I told you so.
