That could be exactly what we need

A extremely tough game. Complacency is most likely not an issue now, by being so close to losing. We have been destroying teams in the last 3 weeks, we needed a game like this to get into semi final mode.

Couldn't agree more although I'm sure Sheensy or the team won't be too happy with their overall performance tonight.

Still to play poorly and still put 30 on the board and win by 12 is a good sign of things to come I think.

Weve been destroying ourselves more like it….no consistency, we havent put 80 mins together all year.
If we let teams back in during the semis it will be ''time gents'' very early.
Garbage tonite

I disagree. We were poor in that game and any other side in the top 8 would have beaten us. We needed to beat the Sharks easily and have the Dragons fearing us. Right now the Dragons will believe they can beat us …

Don''t forget the Dragqueens lost to the Sharks earlier in the year so I don't think they would look at this win and think any less of our team.

I hope it was the 'loss' people were saying we needed to have, but somehow got away with. I was only listening on the radio but it sounds like the sharks got dudded by some poor calls and we were pretty ordinary.
Short turn around, late changes, and a determined sharks outfit all factors.

It was a poor performance but dont forget that is 8 on the trot. Incredibly hard to be at your best every week.

I think we will lift significantly next week.

The boys can play a hell of a lot better than they did tonight and they will need to.At their best they can beat anyone hopefully this poor performance will help them go on and win it

The Sharks played to win..we hung in there
attacking in the middle with 3-4 runners at dummy half put us to the test..
lets smash those dragon boys nexy week..!!!!

:sign:

I am glad we jagged the two point and a top four spot, but dam that was woeful. All our tries were SOFT. if we played against a top 8 side I reckon we would have been lucky to score a solitary point.

But the catch is, if we were playing any other side in the top 8 we wouldn't have played like that.

We often do just enough to win. No more. No less.

Fact: When we've recently played top 8 sides we've won - Warriors, Cowgirls, Manly and Saints.
Fact: We've never played a bad semi.

We will turn up next Friday. We will win.

We didn't play well for sure, but I think everyone is underestimating the Sharks in saying that we should've smashed them. They may be 13th on the ladder, but they are a far better team than Penrith, Parra and the Titans this year. I'm just happy that we can play that bad and still beat them at home, tbh.

I don't think we needed anyone to see clearly the way to play us and beat us if the opposition plays smart
Because that is the way to play us and the Saints will certainly try

Its was attitude tonight…..we will lift next week.This is what the players play for all year....No team is silly enough to think they just have to turn up t o win at this time of the year.

Some of you are way too harsh. Players are not machines or robots.

* 5 day turn around
* No Lawrence, Galloway, Beau
* Gallen's 200th, Douglas and Snowden's last game.

It's not the easiest set of circumstances. That is 8 wins on the trot. Not two or three, but eight. Along the way you have your flat spots and your highs. We did what we had to do tonight. We have to be better next week and we will, move on.

We didn't play well at all tonight but after you've won 7 in a row and now 8 it is very hard to play decent consistent football week in week out. Along with that it's hard to play a grinding semi-final type game when you know you're playing a team that is coming 13th. I guarantee we won't play that bad next week!

If someone had told me 3 months ago we would win 8 on the trot going into the finals I would have said no way. I'm happy with the 2 points and that we are doing enough to jag a win. We will lift for next week.
