That sinking ship

To be perfectly honest I have stopped watching and reading about this saga.

I have seen two quality games with some of the best ond most consistent reffing in years and that is what I am going to focus on

Good call smeg, all this disenchantment with the game crap ticks me off, don't watch the game then, and don't come on here whinging about it,be happy our club is not involved yet,and support the WestsTigers.

I would like to see the media focus more on asada, and the shoddy self promoting manner in which they have dealt with this issue.
It seems to me they could have dealt with this in the off season, also it seems they may have been less than efficient in the manner in which they have imposed their rules upon the clubs.

The more of this ASADA debacle goes on, the less integral the season becomes… Watered down playing rosters, potential forfeits (extreme) coaches being punted... = gives the competition less credibility meaning any premiership winner in 2013 will be tagged with the 'oh thats when a chunk of the teams had half their players out' - nobody wants that.

I'll happily take the trophy this year if we get there!!!

x 2 Smeg The call on the Reed no try in last nights game was a ripper There was no way i thought no try until I saw the reply

The no try call on McCullough was perplexing though

What proof that it wasn't a try did anyone see ??

The Sandow try that was disallowed was a try for all money IMO, Mateo wasn't going to get anywhere near the try-scorer and it was just an attempt to get the scoreline closer…nothing will ever change in that regard. Dodgy times ahead still :sign:

Thats a very simplistic attitude, imagining it doesnt affect everyone
Being ticked off at people being disappointed the game is being dragged through the mud and the legitimacy of the comp is being severely undermined shows a very selfish attitude and ignorant imo
Dont say "dont watch"….maybe you ''shouldnt read''

Ignoring it wont make it go away...you can only ignore it for so long

One question, Strrretch - how do you know that ASADA had any evidence in the off season? From what I have been able to determine from reading various articles is that it is probably the Shark's former trainer Trent Elkin that has just recently become the whistleblower. If that is so, then it has to be reasoned that although there may have been some earlier 'background' investigations by ASADA, until they had hard evidence of the usage of illegal substances then no precipitate action could have been taken. As to ASADA being less than efficient in imposing their rules upon the clubs, the 'rules' have been in place for a long time. Although the drugs involved in this case may not have been individually listed on the WADA list of banned substances, section 2 of the WADA code states that it is illegal for ANY substance that promotes growth hormone to be used (CJC-1295). Thymosin Beta 4 wasn't listed because it is used on horses!
I'm not an apologist for ASADA or WADA, but I think your criticism in this instance is unfounded.
