Potter was never falsely accused of something nor did he have to defend his integrity. He also has had a level of support from the media and fans to fall back on. The situation was way different for Robbie. He was made out to be the villain from the start ( falsely) has been attacked by the media and the fans, and been given no support from the club. Put in the same position Potter would have reacted differently, any man with any self worth would. When he didn't speak that was treated as admitting guilt, and when he did he was creating more drama - according to the media who got the story wrong from the start , and yet still take no responsibility. The media seem to have it in for Robbie and while most times he seems to manage reasonable well this time they got to him. And considering how its all played out I can hardly blame him.
