The 5th Tackle

Yo mods I reckon shut this thread down.
It was meant as just an innocent question but I’m afraid it’s creating disharmony.

This is great ...
Harden up big fella 😂

My biggest concern is the D. Averaging 30 points a game. Madge going on about how they've been working hard on it.

"We are heading in the right direction" his words.

I agree. Our defense needs to improve a lot. We also need to improve that left edge attack especially because Luc and Brooks created a fair few chances that Talua or Kepaoa have bombed.

I get what Madge is stating though. Our defense doesn't appear to be that bad apart from when we played the Roosters and that was rectified via dropped BJ. The thing is we are missing tackles when the players are there. So the structures look okay but we aren't making tackles we need to make.

And I’ve been downvoted, without comment, for posting this honest, unoffensive rugby league question. ??‍♂️

It is very annoying I have to say.

Tommy would have thought it was gutless.

If you don't like what was said, speak up or just move on.

I downvoted it. I was annoyed at the flood of posts by the OP with little or no thought behind them. There is usually not much point arguing on this forum because the same loud voices just repeat the same opinions over and over no matter how often they are proved wrong. Thanks for telling me how to forum.

I would have thought it was obvious that people run the ball on the last as a surprise, the ball is passed to the wrong person (a mistake), or the attacking team does not want to risk kicking the ball dead.

He’s talking about after the completion of the 4th so , the play the ball and play of the 5th .
I think if he’s asking that question , and people are agreeing with it , and those people are the ones saying we have no game management, then it begs the question , that maybe some people have little understanding of what that word means in the context of an nrl match ?
So it’s probably not worth getting irritated about .

This might shock you but a lot of people most probably think you and Blake have got it wrong.
Oh, horror, all those people ‘proved wrong’ (really?) who have little understanding of what words mean in an NRL context should be rounded up and given a good whipping.

If you don’t understand , what a basic set looks like rucking it out off your line , or should look like , and the reasons for why things have to go the way they do , then yea maybe you shouldn’t be hating on the lack of “game management “, or , when you have no idea what actual game management looks like . That’s my point .
Plenty of people do know what’s going on . And they still think brooks is garbage . Or we lack direction . Fine . That’s not who I’m talking about .
I’m taking about the nevilles with big opinions , and calling grandiose change based on what ?

Good to see you **'understand'** while so many dumbarses on here **'have no idea what actual game management looks like'.**
I look forward to your next insightful explanations of the game.

I didn’t say that . Read what I said . And they are usually pretty insightful, thank you . Especially if you don’t know what the 5th tackle hitup is for.
But be butt hurt , because I pointed out the hypocrisy of being hyper critical of something , people know nothing about . I’m not the guru messiah . I just know what a basic game plan looks like.
Evidence - @bigsiro and some of the things he says about our team , and many people like him .
It’s like if I went to a restaurant and started critiquing on the process the chef used to to make a difficult dish , because I didn’t like the taste when it came out . What do I know about that ?
I find it head scratching , the vitriol that’s spewed from guys .
If you can’t understand the difference between what you THINK im saying , and what I’m actually saying , then that’s on you.

The problem is in my most honest & humble opinion is ...
Whe you have deadset plodders like Tamou or Twal with deadset no footwork and the worlds slowest play the balls the defence has enough time to make a coffee and reset there line .

Where as we should be running numbers along there edge .

Yea definitely . I will say though , Tamou gets to his knees ,really quick , so I think you’ll find his play the balls are actually really fast . He’s just not a hit it up , blokes go flying type front rower . Twal gets put on his back a lot . Which is something he never used to do . I don’t know what’s happened to him .
