Is anyone else struggling with lockdown?

I'm working from home and am ok 99% of the time but am starting to miss simple stuff like a coffee on the way to work, visiting the gym or grabbing a Friday afternoon beer with a mate.

I remind myself that my grandparents were under lockdown from Nazi occupation and I'm being a sook but the idea of a long Sydney lockdown is daunting.

Does anyone have any tips?

As Cochise has suggested, run or walk.

You can still get a take away coffee, just time it with your grocery shopping.

Get on Teams Online and speak with your friends in a group chat.

Find a topic that interests you on the internet and read. Better still, I like to listen to Youtube Music. Turn up the volume on Jean Genie with Mick Ronson on the Les Paul guitar!

I will add it here, The Ambush is trying to get a virtual event up and running during this outbreak, the club has been very responsive so far so fingers crossed we get something up as a bit of a distraction and to fill in some spare time for those interested.

You guys are doing a Great job with The Ambush @cochise.
As you are into organising lots of things I reckon you would have been the instigator and driving force behind The Ambush ?

It is very much a group effort, @Tiger_Steve was really the instigator of it all and the amount of work that everyone put into the group is the reason that we have been successful to this point.

If you get a virtual event happening, will it be accessible by anyone?

I would love to get to one of these events (and a game) but that's just not a practical option with interstate travel being the way it is at the moment. So a virtual event would be great.

100% will be free and open to anyone.

This "Ambush" social group for the fans is a fabulous concept.
I am not aware of any other NRL team that has this.
Groups like this can be hard to get going, so persist, persist and persist.
I want to imagine where you'll be in 5 or 10 years, with club influence and fan participation.
Well done to everyone.

Thanks mate, it has been a fairly successful 1st year so far, it is all about building that connection between fans to then use that to increase a connection to the club. It has been great getting an opportunity to meet more like minded people.

It also allowed me earlier in the year when my family pulled out of attending a game to reach out to @mike who I had met at an Ambush event to have someone to attend a game with. Those are the sort of things I feel are the benefit of a group like this.

have to say as a CEO Pascoe is going OK, haircut excluded. Im hardly the on comment the hair though

Just on the Ambush; it's a great way to encourage fan involvement and connection etc.
But just thinking - is there something in-house for our graded players to encourage and ensure their passion and love for our jersey?
Senior players all the way down to the youngsters.
And if there is, why are we not made aware of the positives.
This would be more substantive/enlightening than the fluff media pieces put up before game day.

Love the updates and thanks to the Ambush champions.

Are there any Ambush whispers about junior grade retention/betterment as opposed to a loss of a player.

That would be ever so more of interest.

Was Flanagan considered for a coaching position in 2019?

Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone would be interested in participating in a virtual trivia night in the coming weeks if we were to set one up?
