The other player in my opinion is Moeen Ali , he can score quickly and could take the Test away if he sticks around for 90 minutes or more

For them to win, he probably needs 150, with support from Ali and Bairstow. Woakes has a big job to try and hang with Root, assuming Root doesn't get out first.

Well I have a radical question to ask then GNR , do we risk holding out taking the new ball by 10-15 overs to try and have a newer ball when we hit twilight time ??

I think they would of been concerned if our bowlers ended up bowling 150 plus overs back to back

Also I would rather set a total for the Poms to chase in the 4th innings than have to chase a total in the 4th innings

Yeah I get that. But we may have had them 4 down still 200 behind. I tend to think we missed a chance because we are worried about over bowling players.

True but I can still remember losing two of those 3 Tests we lost when getting teams to follow on , and the entire series in both of those Tests were turned on their heads

Pardon my ignorance but apart from the test in India when VVS Laxman and I think Dravid made huge scores,I can’t recall the other ones where we lost after enforcing the follow on.

Personally I couldn’t believe it when I turned on the TV and saw us batting. I thought if there was a time when we’d enforce the follow on it would be in Adelaide under lights. Anyway hope we can bat 2 sessions tomorrow and then bowl them out
