I haven't really watched any cricket since the last ashes series although I did see a fraction of last summers test series …Pakistan ??
And it was rubbish .

Had a day off work today and didn't miss one minute !
Should be a great Ashes series ....

Yep against a 2nd string NSW team. I saw him get his 150 and Mitch Marsh 102 not out. Awesome T20 players and go well at State/1st class against 2nd tier bowling.
Mitch Marsh ended up with around 140\. Finch got runs as well, he was around 70 plus when I tuned in.

Was forced to listen to Triple M on the train, coming home from work, because for some reason the AM signal drops out on the train. What utter garbage. They don't take the game seriously. That sort of coverage might cut it for the Big Bash, but the Ashes? Gimme a break.

He's good value. When i had it on, Mick Molloy was in the box. He might be funny in general, but he grated on me here.

Yeah fair enough. I listen to Grandstand, I've not heard Molloy ever call the cricket I don't believe. If I have he was that forgettable.

I'm a traditionalist. Love Grandstand. Jim Maxwell is one of my favourite broadcasters. FYI, today's snippet of MMM I listened to on the train included a conversation about stamp tramps. Yeah, that's what passes for Ashes commentary in 2017.

On the cricket, I think the Poms had the foot on the throat, only to take it off. They are still in an okayish position, but a good session in the morning and the Aussies will be firmly in control. Yet if 4/165 somehow turned into 7/200, it's advantage England again. First session is key.

I wouldnt say the pommies stuffed up at all. They had a bowling plan which was working but were later thwarted by one of the most stubborn yet awesome innings played by an aussie in a long while. As i said the other day, this cricket team would be stuffed without him in it. People rave about warner but he isnt a batsman's backside compared with steve.

Yep. It was weird Anderson and Broad didn't bowl first thing after lunch when the ball was still hard and we were about 80 runs behind.
