The Bali 9

You're just picking up on little insignificant things to have a dig Geo. The logic you were using was that i couldn't have come to that conclusion if i didn't watch, yet overlooked the possibility i stopped watching for that very reason.

NO you said the MEDIA were loving every minute of it which is a very broad statement…there are plenty in the MEDIA who are sick of it and believe they are getting what they deserve ...

Like Geo earlier I miss the 'Like' button. I would have used it many times on this thread.

Like GNR, I despise the media and that is from personal experience. There is something admirable about the term journalist, but when I think media, I think parasite with an agenda.

Like CB, I have I have no sympathy for those involved in the heroin trade. It has touched me personally and tragically. I don't even believe the discussion about relative penalties is worthwhile. If you play that game for profit, be it here or elsewhere, you accept the penalties as prescribed. They knew the risks.

I think it's sad and shows where society is at when we hold candlelight vigils for drug smugglers and not for children who are murdered or suffer abuse. Quite pathetic if I'm being brutally honest.

Like I've always said, there's no old or veteran drug users, dealers or traffickers. They all end up in jail or dead. These two muppets are a prime example as to why the drug trade will put a time line on your life. The only people who prosper from this trade are funeral directors.

They should not be in this position, nor their mules that were left in the prison the pair were removed from overnight. Our federal authorities were complicit in them being arrested in the first place, and now our politicians are asking for mercy. Go figure.

This is what I'm talking about. The whole "Oh, if the AFP hadn't have notified Indonesia…" etc... Everyone is forgetting the catalyst for the position these blokes find themselves in is the decisions they made to smuggle the crap in the first place. Every attempt to absolve these blokes of the personal responsibility for their actions.

If we're going to pull that argument that the AFP are to blame, don't we hold Scott Rush's father complicit for their deaths then? I mean after all he was the one who tipped them off?

This article puts it all into perspective for me.
