The Bench

I think those of us who have complained for the past 5 years about the way we have rotated our forwards can feel a little validated tonight.

The use of the four forward bench was superb today and just as importantly guys like Pettyborne and BMM made an impact.

It is so important to get the use of the bench right and I think this is one instant improvement Potter has made.

How good did petty Bourne look from that drop out. Haven't seen a tigers forward hit the ball like that since like forever. bmm was also quite impressive. bell needs to be used as a workhorse in defence IMO, start him at lock let him assist farah with the 30-40 tackles a game.

Seeing the starting line-up today including the bench was great.

and imagine if Sheens was the coach we would have a winger on the bench and Galloway missed the entire 2nd half, we would have been without a prop we would have had back rowers playing prop, it killed us in 2011 semi when Gibbs got hurt

I don't want to get too excited but Potter so far has been a breath of fresh air. Four forwards on the bench and a late change that involved getting rid of one of the weaknesses from last week.

4 forwrds on the bench was awsome, we need to try to match it with the bigger packs. If a back goes down, move Anasta to cover and use the bench to cover his spot. Although i wasn't sure why he didn't use Pettybourne earlier?
