The bench

Massive wraps on bench in on-field huddle and sheds after the game.

PL

Good to hear PL. They deserved it. We didnt miss a beat when our starting props went off.

I agree and having Anasta out helps IMO

I think Austin is so much better than Anasta. The four forwards really helps as well but our spine created so many opportunities.

If Anasta was there I can't see us scoring most of those plays on the right.

I really am starting to love Jesse Sue.

All of the wraps go to Tapau and Gavet and deservedly so but bloody hell Sue is a weapon. The amount of metres he makes after contact is up there with any forward in the game. I have no doubt that we are a much better side when he is coming off the bench.

Just looking at his stats from the game he made 107 metres and 14 tackles off the bench, awesome.

the game changed for us once the bench was thrown into the game we really got more for our bench than the dogs. the whole forward pack, bench included were great. Its going to be hard to drop moses even if we had teddy, I guess Austin will go back to the bench and one of the pigs will get dropped, would be a shame.

If Tedesco comes back in time for the finals and assuming the form of Brooks-Austin-Moses is maintained, I would argue Tedesco finish the season in State Cup unless we have an injury. Must keep 4 forwards on the bench.

The other advantage this week was we didnt have to make our bench guys do too much.

Gavet and Ava in particualr do their best stuff when they only have to punch out a couple of short but quality spells.

More minutes dulls there effectiveness and leads to Ava getting caught out in defenve and Gavet making a few mistakes and penalties.

How they were used yesterday was perfect for them and us.

I thought they were all there last week?

Too right Mac, it's not who they are, it's how they performed.

Same issue Tigers always have, we have the cattle to win games, but it is dependent on how they execute.

Best bench in the game ATM.

I thought that Ava had his best game in a long time last week, and he went even better yesterday! Seemed to have more energy, more leg drive, more everything.

My main concern with the bench is the way Potter uses it. IMO he waits too long to bring on some changes at prop. Considering we have 3 props on the bench, why wait until the 20-25th minute to make the first change. I'd rather Galloway and even Woodsy go hard in shorter spurts than stay out there too long and start to get fatigued.

We have the bench to have a quality rotation, allowing all the players to rip in and be rested. Let's rip in and do it!

If the Props can last to 20 - 25th minute they get a good rest till sometime in the 2nd half & it helps our rotation @ the back end of the game.
