Snapper,I will give you a bit of old history if you like, back in the early 80s I played in group nine with Turvey Park, where the Mortimer boys played before going to Canterbury…Gundagai who Lyons played with was also in the same group as us...Cliff Lyons was deadset the rising star of group nine and a very, very good footballer,I had the pleasure of being run over by him a couple of times..had many a beer with him at the old Criterion Hotel after matches...he really earned his footballing stripes as he proved over the years...

That's in Wagga Wagga yeah
some good footballers come out of that area.
It sounds like you got some great memories thanks for sharing that with me.

4\. Greg Inglis

6\. Wally Lewis
7\. Joey
13\. Ben Kennedy
12\. SBW
11\. Sirro
10\. Lazarus
9\. Elias
8\. Webcke

Always rated BK… He was a natural leader without actually being one. Every team he played for [except his early days in Canberra] fed off his energy!

Good team Goose

Neil Pringle. Well he was to me when I first started attending as a youngster.

Ellery Hanley was an amazing player for a few years , especially as he was playing back to back competitions on opposite sides of the earth. I still reckon Balmain would have won in 88 had Lamb and Farrah not taken him out early in the GF.

Andrew Johns, with or without drugs is the most complete player I have seen, and over a long period. Would probably have gone even better with the tighter match reviews and no punching rule, particularly when wearing the nine in SOO.

Yeah but you leave out Fittler to pick him

Arthur sold the Tolland a couple of years ago, not sure where he lives now as he also sold his house. He used to be one of our customers.

Thanks for that WaggaTiger,at least Snapper will know I'm not crapping on to him….

I used to live around the corner of the Tolland in McKell Ave it was the boundary of Turvey Park and Tolland...

I loved being in Wagga and most of the people there are fantastic...
