Thanks for that WaggaTiger,at least Snapper will know I'm not crapping on to him….

I used to live around the corner of the Tolland in McKell Ave it was the boundary of Turvey Park and Tolland...

I loved being in Wagga and most of the people there are fantastic...

Never doubted you mate! cheers.

Andrew Johns a fair bit ahead of Sterling and Lewis. I just watched a highlights package on Fox on the 2005 origin series. It was like hee was playing against children in those games.

Sterling is not in the same class as Johns.
Lewis was one of the best leaders i've ever seen in my day.
Overall John had all the skills no doubt the best I've seen in my day.

Have a look at Benji's highlights packages on YouTube - nobody else has ever played that way. As for tackling, his shoulders were buggered. As well, Gasnier, who is a popular selection, seldom tackled at all. It wasn't his job.

Also like to put in a mention of Tommy Raudonikis who embodied the sprit of Rugby League - always give your best, and never ever surrender.

Always rated BK… He was a natural leader without actually being one. Every team he played for [except his early days in Canberra] fed off his energy!

Good team Goose

Yeah but you leave out Fittler to pick him

Fittler was clearly a better player than Kennedy but not a better lock….

Same at centre, I rate Fittle a better player than the centres, but not a better centre

For me the decision is Wally v Freddy, for me that is a coin toss.

Hang on Goose , you picked Hayne on the wing

Do you rate him more highly than Grothe Snr , ET ,O'Connor , Shearer etc

For me the decision is Wally v Freddy, for me that is a coin toss.

I rate Hayne a better winger than ET and O'Connor, I dont really remember Grothe. I was very young when he was doing his thing.

Hayne won a man of the match from the wing in SOO and I think he is a freak, I actually think wing was where he was best at the top level.

It is difficult fitting in all the stars into a side, they are all amazing.

Would have loved to fit Freddy in somewhere.

Yeah I know Goose , I picked two sides and couldn't find spots for players like Allan Langer ,Cliff Lyons ,Ricky Stuart ,Gallen ,Grothe , Burgess ,Ella , Boustead , Belcher ,Elias ,Toovey,Cronin ,Ray or Steve Price

I had a quick count on people's opinions.

Andrew Johns: 14
Wally Lewis: 7
Benji Marshall: 3

Have been watching league since the mid-70s.

The best player overall that I have seen is Andrew Johns. Daylight second. He could do it all. Superfreak.

For Origin only, Wally Lewis was dominant.

Best WT player would be Benji.

Tommy Bishop captain/coach Cronulla.

Tommy will be hitting his mid 70's this year and was an immortal before the word was bandied around.I think you will find Sterling would agree nahhh I know he would rate Tommy as his best !!

Hard to pick one though …....................but 1973 was special for the sharks and Tommy.

Balmain - Artie
Western Suburbs- Dallas
WT - Faz
Ingleburn Bulldogs - Dwyer :righton:
