I applaud todd payten post match comments after their 3 sin bins so why madge little to say regarding possible/probable tries not sent to bunker 2 weeks in a row ,discrepancy Hastings vs Youngs punishment for lifting tackles ,Peachy a bench player sin binned for repeat offences when only on field few minutes and pen count .
 
Refs go into games with an idea of who is a better drilled team and whether it’s conscious or not, there is a bias.

The answer..be a better drilled team.

Yes I agree, refs go into games knowing that the skills of the top four or six sides are superior. I think it’s an unconscious bias that plays out in them top sides getting a number of advantages. The only way to overcome it is to improve.
 
We all have varying opinions in regards to our team and club,having said that,the constant bagging of players,coaches and admin doesnt solve our problems or win us games...hard work,developing young talent and keeping the board out of football operations is a start in the right direction...
If people cant see what Madge,Sheens are trying to do with stabilizing the recruitment,pathways etc for a better future,then they have their heads buried in the sand,for far to long we have had players,coaches,admin come and go without considering the clubs future,they have been all for themselves and not the team and club..
Madge has his faults,but his loyalty lies with the team and club,he is constantly under the "sack Madge" cloud because of his determination to make this team a winning and smart one,however the youth have to learn and understand the high performance and demands of NRL,these dont happen overnight.
We have had 4 losses,some tough calls against us,some poor luck and the teams defense was so much better against the Titans,and from those 4 losses we havent been drilled by 50,with some luck and discipline we could well have been 2/4...
All is not lost yet,I think we will start winning soon especially when Hastings,AD,AJ,TT come back..

I agree with what you say and our defence in last 2 games outstanding but attack clunky but with a fair shake from officials we would be 2-2 not 0-4
just think Marge could make a bit more noise about it what would storm or roosters coaches say if they got these bad calls

The problem is when it comes from the bottom sides it is seen as whinging and gets you nowhere but when it comes from a robbo or Bellamy it’s thoughtful and righteous or Bennett they see him as playing the media . Never them being whingers and told to get better .

Robbo is THE biggest sook of all when Roosters get dudded once in a blue moon.
 
The bias is there for all to see.

Jazz Tevaga gets suspended for 2 weeks for a cannonball tackle. Exact same incident, Asofa-Solomona and Lindsay Collins...both from 2 of the 'chosen clubs' get zero. Plain as day. It's disgusting and needs to be called out more often from coaches whose teams are constantly getting stuffed by refs, match review panel and judiciary. The game is rotten.

Exactly mate, i remember during his coaching days Sheens would meet with the referees boss a numbet of times for various discussions about rules and their interpretations, hopefully he would be doing that now.

They would just laugh in his face nowadays. The days of them trying to cover over their bias are long gone, they are happy to let it run free these days. Nothing is ever done about it.
