The Cambo Curse

3 even games there this year and we’ve managed to be on the losing side every time. We need a witch doctor more than anything else.

It’s immature emotion to claim that we should abandon the ground, like it’s the grounds fault. And somehow the players get a pass for not performing. Take a breath, count to 10. And if you still can’t still can’t rationalise like an adult, go and do some other activity until you can.
Thank you GNR. You surprise us at times with moments of reality. But phuque Axel.

I’m with one of the posters that suggested we make Comm Bank our own.
It would be ok if we only played Parra once a season on Easter Monday and alternate it each year.
Instead we seem to play every team that uses Comm Bank as their home there. What good is that.

It seemed like one lucky kid during junior league appreciation round got the job of operating the scoreboard tonight...they picked the kids that sucks at maths

2 point trys
0 point conversions rectified 10 mins later

So much for a professional outfit
I did notice that. Hopeless..

The more games we play at Leichhardt the more likely we will get wins. The stats don’t lie.

I don’t think we’re any better at Commbank or Accor than we are at Campbelltown though.

see when they ran onto the field with the players pre start , High percentage of gingers amongst those kids , got me thinking Seyfarth may have a side hustle with milk delivery in the area

Sometimes it’s just easier to blame a ground, or the weather, or the day of the week, or anything else that should have zero impact on the performance of a professional sports team. Could be the height of cut on the grass maybe?

Richo is right its past its use by date...even if he gets the upgrades he wants its not gunna be enough
Great ground if you like sitting in the rain...barely any cover, eastern stand roof is so high its useless
Even western stand you cop the rain at the front and sides....its nowhere up to todays standards

The team, not the club need to do more. It's not good enough. The lack of passion from the players, the body language, the way they jog on and off the pitch. The team doesn't play on that pitch like its their home stadium. The coach doesn't talk about Campbelltown in interviews, players don't mention the punters or what the area means in any proportionality to how much gets said about how wonderful it is to play at LO. It's almost an open joke.

And that's a massive problem. Its actually worse than when we were a starting out as a JV. If losing at Leichardt hurts the players 3 x more than losing at Campbelltown, then something is really not being done right within the team. Not the club, the team. This isn't a commentary on which ground is better.

The team doesn't act with any accountability or ownership to the atmosphere at that place or the punters that turn up to watch them play there. The team is worse about this than the fans are. The team and people in the club itself still seem far too satisfied to get their fix of LO Balmain Cosplay 3 to 4 times a year and just leave it at that. Our home games at Campbelltown more closely resemble games we take on the road to Bathurst or Wellington now than a professional sports team playing at its own home ground.

Benji, RIcho, You wanna talk about standards?, start there. Why on earth was South Sydney's team song blaring out of our own PA system at our own home ground right after they've scored a try? How is that even possible? It's like we've rented that stadium on AirBNB. Chicken and egg, how can you be asking for hundreds of millions of dollars of investment towards THAT level of disinterest.

I absolutely agree with this.

I just got the members email re “incidents” that occurred at Campbelltown. I saw a couple of cop cars come to the stadium after the game. I think there was an incident just after one of the South Sydney tries, everyone was standing and looking at something on the league’s club side of the ground. Anyone have any extra information?

With regards getting wet, Hunter Stadium is similar.
Yet no one up there seems to mind
