The Cambo Curse

Leichhardt has a real atmosphere every time we play there. There's history in the ground there and the players feel it and lift.

Campbtelltown ... not so much.
Have said it before Campbelltown is a goat track compared to Leichhardt, just can’t but my finger on it but , I just can’t get excited about going there .

And the 85% of games we lost at Campbeltown since 2020 were not important? Just the Leichhardt ones?

Would those games be "important" if we could actually win at our other ground?

I'm not coming after you btw...just testing this framing and logic a bit.
Sorry mate I don’t know why you are questioning this. If you read my post properly you will see that I put the words ‘as well’ after saying we’ve lost some important games at Leichhardt. The ‘as well’ bit means I know we’ve lost important games at Campbelltown also.

Also.

Pre Game Song

Do not play the Inxs song before the game.

It's to slow and sad.

Play Enter Sandman like Virginia Tech in the USA

Now thats a team entry
Good idea and great song, but I read where it hasn’t really helped VTs home record !
I think we need to find an appropriate song and something like Eye of the Tiger doesn’t cut it for me.
Any other ideas ?

I was there for the game against the Broncos last Saturday and it was a hard one to watch at times. We played well in patches but couldn’t get the job done. After the game finished almost everyone around me was upset and saying that they lost again at Cambo and this team fails to deliver almost every time they play there. And while I understand they were upset in the moment, it also was unfortunately true. If the club is serious about making the move there in the future, it needs to win the remaining games at Campbelltown this year. Not just so we can hopefully play finals, but for the long term future as well. After all it’s not gonna be a good look if we play 7 or 8 games there from 2029 onwards and can only win maybe 1 or 2 of them and the remaining home games at Leichhardt we maintain a winning record there.
