The cowboys at home.

I know we have a good record against these blokes but gee we are up against it in this game.

They are playing excellent football at the moment and look like top 4 material, powerful origin front row, intimidating bench, outstanding back line, Thurston, and we get them at home coming off a win against the competition leaders.

What do we need to do to get a sniff in this game?

After the upsets in round 19 anyone can beat anyone if they turn up with the right attitude so I'm not giving up on us just yet but i reckon this is our hardest game since the Broncos at suncorp.

Ellis back will be a boost but we lose Keefy.

They have us covered in every position on the field that matters so we have to win this one with determination.
Do we have that determination? Or execution for that matter?

I didn't think we could beat them earlier in the year and we did but up in townsville its a harder proposition and they are firing.

Attack wise we can match them but the way our defence has been lately i can't tip us with any confidence.

Heart says tigers by 2.
Head says Cows by 13+

:sign:

Yeh very tough but not impossible
Although Townsville on a Monday - something about it I dont like at all

The key is shutting down the Cowboys go forward and try and limit the amount of times we can keep Thurston out of our red zone

We need high completion rates and not to waste the opportunities we do get unlike Saturday

Not having Keefy really worries me though

I don't think any of our replacements will nearly go close to filling his shoes and without his go forward everyone will have to step up

We also need our best kicking game of the season and put heaps of pressure on Bowen

All I can say are fingers crossed 😛ray:

Shut down Thurston by rushing him and jamming up (which we are great at - historically he's crap against our mob)

Kick the ball away from Bowen.

Don't give Tate Space.

The biggest threat in recent years from them was always Tonga - but he's now gone.

I don't care that they beat a disappointing Melbourne outfit. They didn't beat us a few weeks ago with a full strength team, and they won't again.

Tigers by 10.

It will be somewhat of an acid test for the Tigers. We do have a decent record up there, but the Cowboys attack is working very well at the moment while the Tigers defence needs to improve dramatically against a side with Thurston, Bowen, Tate etc.

We're not without hope, but it will be one of those games where we really need to stick to the gameplan for the full 80.

Yep exactly right.

Win or lose this is a season defining game for us.

I'm glad we play them after they beat the Storm, they put absolutely everything into that game. I think they'll be a bit flat after that win.

that's what I'm hoping for

This game is VERY important to how our season finishes.its been well documented our run home is a tough one.A win up there will no doubt give the boys enough confidence to finish the year off with a finals birth.a loss could make the boys very nervous and not play to their natural strengths.Toss of a coin this one which tigers team will show up???

I think this is probably our second easiest game in the run home tbh. The Tigers know exactly how to beat the Cowboys and if they execute they will win. The Cowboys will probably be worse off for defeating Melbourne because they will have had to drum a really specific plan into their games that will simply be ineffective against us.

Well they'll do it without Ashley Graham one would imagine after his injury on the weekend. Most importantly this is a winnable game, no disrespect to the Cowboys but there's no reason we can't match them. Blair and Ellis will help steel our pack, although the loss of Galloway is massive. Cowboys deserve favourtism though.

Broncos game was in sydney, my bad, but still a big ask.

I like it when we are not the favourites but i will be pleasantly surprised if we win this .

Tigers must control possession and field position. Easier said than done, but if NQ get their fair share of the ball in a good position, we're toast.

A must win game for Wests. Cowboys will be hard to beat at home. Monday night makes it unique. Hard for cowboys fans to travel to game.
