The Culling

I'm going real cold on Blair.

I thought he had turned the corner so far this year but I think Bell provides much better value. Bell comes dirt cheap as well.

Anasta and Blair are meant to be big name signings but they aren't what we need at all. It also leaves Fulton in a bad position because you can't play another small backrower when your backrow lacks impact.

I'd be inclined to choose the best team and drop both of them.

Wouldn't let Lawrence go either. Still young and at the very worst could be dropped to state cup to gain some form/confidence. If we released him A club like Souths/Melbourne would pick him up and people would be saying "why did we let him go."

your kidding yourself if you think a club like souths or melbourne would pick up lawrence…... could only see sharks, penrith and maybe the titans being interested in him.

Lote not on$350k per season, we just cant get rid of Blair as it would cost us to much, Bell is a bargain for us & we have to give Anasta a chance as he looked good last Sunday.

He's getting paid per match. Not sure how that fits with the salary cap. We should probably keep him though for Koroibete who looks up to him big time. It's one of the reasons we got him. And if Koroibete takes off we could see many more Fijian flyers

Lote, Reddy and Utai would surely be shown the door at the seasons end as well as Iosefa. I'd like to see Bell leave even though he has been solid for us. We need to make significant changes to the roster and sign marquee players if we want to compete with the top sides. I probably wouldn't re sign Miller as I'm not sure he is the answer to our halves problem and there are a number of quality halves on the market. I would try and offload players like Anasta and Moltzen as I think going to be detrimental to our future. There are a number of quality players coming off contract at other clubs in the halves, outside backs and forwards that i'd love to see in Tigers colours.

If media reports are true, Iosefa wanted out a few months ago to take up a longer deal with Warriors but we refused as we needed him as a backup hooker.

before Sheens left we should gave him a bag with all his players in it that he bought for HIS grand plan. He could of started a new team when he left.
He left them to us.
If we are talking about culling then is it fair to say that we can write off this year.
Seems like we got problems.

Gee, I hate Iosefa when he gives away so many dumb penalties, but I doubt we could find a better back up for Robbie for next to nothing.

Souths picked up Beau Champion and have had average centres otherwise. Goodwin is definitely not that great either. King is close to retiring you would think and Farrell is 1 centre for them.
Under a coach like Bellamy/Maguire he would be flying. He needs time to develop form and to string a few games together. I think people calling for him to be axed from the club are way too premature at this stage. If he doesn't pick up form by end of season (in nsw cup or 1st grade) then that's probably a good indicator he may not be worth the risk of keeping.
