The day after...

gives the mind a chance to calm down, reflect and then give an opinion. I guess if you are a glass half full person, you'd probably be thinking "It could have been a lot uglier" - as I did watching the game earlier on. I mean Bulldogs homecoming , huge crowds, the hype had been built leading to the game. Not easy for any team. I think we have a few really good players (Staines and Api, but I also like Naden) and once we learn what support play actually means, we will improve - but it is not going to happen overnight. We scored 3 tries in a blink of an eye - any team that can do this, has to have some ability. In fact, the Belmore crowd seemed quite nervous at one stage, and as a coach, I am sure Ciraldo would not have been impressed. Klemmer has brought back a bit of the mongrel in our pack and if he can keep his coolness, he will give us that go forward that has been missing. And yes, we have our squeaky wheels - but to the extent that the coaching staff will address this, it will be a measure of how well we can do this year.
I don't want to come across as viewing the situation through rose tinted glasses - but I do think we need to remain positive and accept that this is no short term project.

But we've been there since 2005, I hear you say. Well, it took the Swans 72 years between drinks. Hopefully we won't have to wait that long.
Exactly. A lot more support and a lot less griping. We aren't good yet but signs are there just not enough playing for each other. Sure it'd be nice to be winning but it doesn't just happen overnight. Maybe they need a big bonding piss-up.

Yet, to watch. Was our attack truly immense or had Dog's clocked off?
Thats a nonsense about teams clocking off in the NRL. A more apt way of looking at it is some teams ( the more inexeperienced ones ) relax after building a handy lead and lose momentum that they find they can't get back because they are suddenly being overun. No team builds a lead and puts the cue in the rack and start pre ordering drinks at the bar.

Relaxing after building a handy lead sounds like clocking off to me

No it doesn't - clocking off means you are done for the day - finished, no more, tools down. They obviously hadn't clocked off for the final 10 minutes where they hung on to win.

For context the swans were playing finals regularly since ~ 1995 with a gf in 1996

Not exactly apples to apples .
Well, so long as the concept is clear...The Swans last won the flag in 1933...played finals, according to above, since ~ 1995 - so 62 years, then...like comparing Gala to Batlow I guess... ;-)

Immense is probably a stretch.

That was the first Dogs game i have watched this season. They are not good. Wests had a few players backing up for the period and a few passes stuck and it was enough to pile on points. Both clubs are shit, wests were just shitter on the day.
good point dogs are well and truly going to struggle to make the 8, most teams yesterday would have beaten them

Potentially we have Bula to come in from round 11 at fullback or wing.
Is he playing well enough?
Many on here said he wasn’t very good in round 2 and I watched him yesterday and think he is miles off first grade.
He is injury cover only.

I didn't see him yesterday but all reports he didn't go well. Perhaps Sheens my blood hom on the wing ?
depth wise we are struggling

Once they shifted AD (to get him away from the ball thank god) and got BW on, everything changed for us.
Every attack we did with AD ended up with either a ridiculous pass, intercept or something comical. Bulldogs ran down his side all day and that's how they got us. They didn't run harder than us, outsmart us or anything, we beat ourselves.
AD killed all of our attacks
Unfortunately it's true, that intercept pass was atrocious, so be it he ran the wrong line AD was looking at him seeing this and still passed the only pass he put on someone's chest pity it was a doggy...
