Friday night its the wooden spoon grand final with 5 weeks to go. we win we SHOULD avoid the spoon

if eels win, they then would have to only win 2 out of their last 4 games to get the spoon, I know we lead F and A right now on them but not if they beat us by 40 Friday night

Only 2? they've won 3 all yr. Just stop :deadhorse: the spoon is theres regardless of next friday night

If we were in Parra's shoes would you be talking us up as being able to string a few together? hell no. But when its another team, different story. Face it, your pessimism on this occasion has no basis, its falling flat on its arse. But by all means, still wallow in the self pity if it makes you feel better.

I feel sorry for you . I wake up every day not caring if I win lotto because I'm happy and therefore I've got better then lotto. Pessimism is ok if that's what rocks your boat but personally I'd rather be optimistic

so you still think we can make the finals mr optimistic?? I guess if we win our last \5 games by 50 each that means 3 of those games against top 4 teams, shouldn't be a problem at all if things go our way we can still make the finals on 11 wins

oh but hey maybe 15 teams will be kicked out of the comp because they were over the cap.

I don't want us to get the god dam spoon all I care about is avoiding it and yes there is still a chance of it, ive seen this team get beaten by a no name Broncos team over 10 years ago choke semi final games, I've seen them lose form impossible positions so excuse me for being a be pessimism, maybe if I supported a team that was more successful in my era then I wouldn't feel that way, and no I don't wanna hear your standard 'ohh well go support another team then blahblahblabha' coz that's not the answer.

Beat Parra Friday night and that will be the end of this thread and I can be happy. it's that simple if they can't do that the longer this thread stays until we are actually well and truly safe from the spoon

Ah you can't get into this argument with a true pessimist. They will just shout "realistic" and "I am better able to handle bad situations" at you every time. You can't make someone an optimist.
