The forgotten man

just a few years ago was talked about as an origin prospect. yet another injury (another hammy) to chris lawrence. really saddening how injuries have deteriorated him over the years. starting to think he should give it up. probably gone for an extended period of time once more.

Nah didn't look like a big injury. He hurt himself and played on for a good while, made a few more tackles and was moving quite freely. Probably went off more as a precaution than anything. Looked very minor and wouldn't be surprised if he's right to go next week.

Injuries have really affected the career of the man-child. He doesn't seem able to get consistent games of footy together anymore. One thing watching him play when he does, is the lack of a fend which he used to have.

I hope i'm wrong but it looks like the gig is up. He has hurt a hammy everytime he opens up since the hip dislocation. Such a tragedy when you see how quick Widdop came back.

I really feel for him . But I think his time is nearly up it hurts to say that . We need some big fast guys for our centres

Mick Potter said in the post-match presser than Lawrence had a "tight" hamstring and came off not to risk it. They don't believe there is any damage, but will get scans tomorrow.

What happens with simona then doe's he push Lawrence out or Lulia? Or doe's he just stay in NSW Cup…..Tbh if Potter doesn't swap Lulia for Simona he is out of his bloody mind.

Just about time to retire. Any time he stretches out he is in trouble. Feel for him, as he looked to be a star rep player in the makings, now he is barely 1st grade standard.

I also think he will retire.

You guys would have had meninga retire affer a couple of broken arms. He's had a few rough years but retirement? Crazy talk

You're comparing a broken arm to a dislocated hip and constant, repetitive hamstring injuries, and we are crazy?

Everytime Lawrence tries to run at full pace he gets injured. The hip injury has killed him.

he'll be fine!! let's go rowdy, rip up them souths and send em back to the cellars

had him in my dreatteam and was wondering why his score was so low, then i remembered he went off early on although i originally thought potter was using that utility on the bench thing from the sheens era lol

Over the number of years there have been good players being injured and not getting to play for few years ..
Prime example is Scotty Prince, he came to us and made his name after being injury plagued all his career.

Morale of the story, lets not give up on Rowdy.
He might come back being that school boy who blitz it for us in his first year.

Without hope there is nothing in life and heres one hoping

There is a big difference between a broken leg and a badly dislocated hip.

It doesn't look good

But Lyon is one of the best centres in the game at 30 something, and he does it without a mountain of speed, maybe there is hope Rowdy can still resurrect some of his potential.

But yeah it doesn't look good which is really sad

There is always hope. Like people have said players get repetitive injuries. However broken bones are different to a dodgy/chronic hammy. I don't want him to reitre I just get frustrated. He looks like he is grimacing and in pain nearly all the time when he tries to run at full speed. Mannering beat him over 50 yards last year.

I just reckon we have seen the best of him. Not saying he will never play well, however the injury he had has just destroyed him.

Keefy is the forgotten man ,he was massive for us yesterday My highlight was when he ran over Bird ,couldn't happen to a nicer bloke
