The Front Row - 2015

With Woods, Blair and Taupau all going well in the front row at international level, along with Robbie. This will be one of our strengths come 2015.
In 2014 Blair played at lock mainly because he can play long minutes.
Galloway took a step backwards and Ava and Lodge both stepped up.
Taupau's impact keeps us hammering forward.
Sue may have prove to be a good lock, but at this stage i think Blair needs to start 2015 off at number 13.
My starting front row is;
10\. Woods
09\. Farah
08\. Ava

bench: Taupau to replace Ava early (around the 15-20 minute mark)
Lodge coming on later for Woods (who can play longer, around the 25-30 minute mark).
Galloway on the bench your experienced back-up front rower.

Woods, Farah and Galloway starting. Blair at 13 playing like a front rower.

Ava, Lodge and Taupau on the bench to replace these 3.

I agree , we need to get of to better starts in games , by the time Taupau comes on were usually down by 12-16 points .
Galloway needs a kick in the pants !

8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Sironen
12\. Thompson
13\. Blair
14\. Ava
15\. Lodge
16\. Sue
17\. Taupau

We are strong in the front row/lock positions. We desperately need some wide running second rowers

Would love Galloway to be moved on. Lacks aggression/intensity/effort. Happy to just run through the motions and get by on his size.

not sure who'll play in the backrow but i think this is how we'll run out rd 1 for sure

8\. woods
10\. galloway
13\. blair

14\. taupau
15\. ava
16\. sue

Wests Tigers have nothing to worry about their current front rowers. It however is a completely different story with our current batch of experienced second rowers, tradesmanlike but seemingly lacking in class. Quite simply we need a class second rower (and centre). Maybe there is something available from the current set of 4 Nation players?

Happy. You have Sue listed in the 2nd row. Does he have the lateral movement and ball skills to play there?
I'd always seen him more of a straight up the middle runner and defender. Although I didn't see much of his NYC footy.

Your description is right Good defender and runs hard

Exactly what we need at the moment in the 2nd row

Blair can ball play before or at the line and so can Sironen and Woods

neither Woods or Galloway have any mongrel in them…They both shouldn't start....

Woods & Lodge or Woods & Tapau.

Something different & certainly adds more grunt!…

8\. Tapau
9\. Farah
10\. Lodge
11\. Sue
12\. Thomson
13\. Woods

14\. Blair
15\. Ava
16\. Keithy
17\. Siro

I reckon Woodsy would chew up the metres having lodge & Tapau making the initial dents in the oppositions D.
