The halves problem

Its looking like we are without Luai & Douehi for some time...hopefully not too long.

Whats the plan?
Jock Madden will come in no doubt and I think Benji will move Api to the halves with Hopey at 9.

Benji pulling on the boots and playing 6 is a better idea then moving API

Api's vision from hooker is to important I would play Jock at 7 and play the future Queensland origin half at 6 Andrews to kick goals as well and he's a big body

Would bring Herbert into the centres Big Mac to the wing Tino in the centres and Skelton to wing need Skelton's yardage from the back

Would have 4 forwards on the bench number 5 LL and 6 Hope


Seyfart to play 10 minutes at 9 to give API a rest if needed and Bunty in the starting 17 have to control the ruck and hit them hard kick to the corners and maybe a rain dance before the game

He tries to dummy and run too much in the red zone as well killing out attack

I think that would be disastrous. Hope is shocking out of dummy half, we need Api there. With Latu underdone, im just throwing Andrews in. The combined well in the trials and he is a big body. Jock obviously at 7

if we don’t have a genuine half to fill the 6 I would consider someone like Murray to sure up the defence rather than having an inexperienced defender. Then tell bula that he needs to step up and ball play

You’re saying what you think should happen. I’m saying what I think will happen. Personally thought Bulla was good yesterday, especially compared to the standards set by our halves.

Obviously Jock Madden plays 7 which could be a positive and it will be either Latu Fainu or Javon Andrews at 6.
Even if Latu is fit to play, we will still need Javon on the bench in case he runs out of steam in his first game back in a long while.
Api is a disaster in the halves.

Again I’m not advocating this, I’m suggesting that’s what Marshall will do. It’s a lot of pressure on Andrews with Madden as the experienced half.
