…and the reason why we always lose against them, is being able to stop their offloads.
If we defend well and limit their offloads, we will win this match. The problem is, without doubt the worst aspect of our defense is limiting offloads and that is Parramatta's biggest strength.
You look at their side - they have Hayne, who yes is an excellent player and like a secondary half the way he chimes into their attack and creates play. But Robson is VERY ordinary, Mortimer IMO isn't fantastic and Matthew Keating is average and SLOW. That's your four key positions and IMO they have one standout and another who isn't bad (Mortimer).
When they get close to the line it just seems like a hot potato and see what Hayne can do. They offload and offload and good teams stop it, we don't ever seem to be able to. Parra often try to be too tricky and and score every set instead of just putting on the pressure and at worst get another set of six. You limit their offloads and they don't have much, Hayne aside.
If we defend like we did for most of today's match, they are going to rape us with their offloads again and they'll put on a cricket score.
