The Leichhardt Crowd Deserved Better

All those Tiger's supporters that turned out there today to watch your team go around, to support Keithy's 200th and hopeful for a much needed win - I commend you. You deserve a whole lot better than the crap that our first grade side dished up to you.

This club pulls out all the marketing ploys to get supporters to the home games each fortnight with promises of everything from cheap tickets to crappy blankets, and ultimatums saying 'we'll keep Leichhardt as a home ground if the fans turn up', but in the end, all the supporters really want is to see their team win once in a while or at least put in for the full 80 minutes. It's like enticing a dog with a whole bunch of tantalizing food then giving it only a small biscuit once it comes.

I wonder how many crappy blankets were left behind on the hill at full time ?

Tigers fans remind me of those Newcastle United fans who held up the sign saying "We Don't demand a team that wins, we demand one that tries". We should never give up on that concept, that concept of trying to win will lead to winning with the right coaching and board we just don't seem to have them in place it would seem.

Or better still Flip, get them there, then kick em in the guts…..

I was about to start a thread on a similar thing.
Was going to title it "Well Done to the fans".

There was 15k of us there today, and the way we have been playing that's a great crowd. Especially considering it was on live, free to air TV.

It's starting to feel like the fans are putting more into supporting this team than the players are putting in on the field.

Yeah that too!

Hope they liked it, with the money factor and the fact we have lost 5 of our last 6 there, it might be the last.
