I ***imagine it was only because he was playing injured that they moved him in the first place.***
If LM does come then he stays at centre.
Yeah that or the fact he couldn’t catch to save his life. If he is at fullback it’s bombs away
To be fair Glenn that was mainly an issue early in the year when he came back from injury and he wasn't 100% right. It wasn't from my memory an issue in 2018. If we don't sign LM or AJ i'd be tempted to give him a go at 1 again IMO.
Maybe, and I can see your point of view but how often does a successful team go back and say “you know what, let’s try that again and see if it works THIS time”?
Additionally we need to look at the opportunity cost. Thompson does a good job at fullback. At centre we have options of Mbye, Momo, Talau and (god forbid) Jennings. Mbye is best option defensively by a long stretch. IMO in attack Mbye and Momo are on a par in attack with Mbye having a better pass on him. Talau is totally un proven at NRL level
I reckon people are being too hard on Mbye dropping a few bombs.
Every fullback including Tedesco and Turbo Tom drop a few.... it's just noticed more by your own supporters when you do it.
Mbye sets the defence better, has a better passing game and defends better.
Wouldn't be surprised if fully fit he is also faster than Thompson.
In saying that I also would love to see a spot on the wing for Thompson if he can fight off the other contenders.
All a moot point though if LM signs up for big bickies with the fullback gig as the carrot (along with the loot)
