Tedesco is not happy? What isn't he happy with?
Curiosity, what position are you in to be certain either way?

Not happy with the original contract the Tigers offered

Curiosity killed the cat TL

i think obviously the biggest thing the tigers have in their favour is that he is someone they want to build the team around and have for a long time and the very real possibility he can stay with his mates and enjoy a lot of success in the years to come.

it was not all that long ago the tigers were considered somewhat of a "glamour" side either. assuming they get more wins like last night and become successful, it is not too far a reach to suggest this can again be the case. i mean, brooks has played 4 games and every other story is about him already!

i would be VERY disappointed and surprised if only $15k was a factor - more like $50k per year would be understandable - given all these dodgy TPAs….

in any case, you would have to think the longer odds were on him leaving. id hope so anyway.

Just read that Sam Ayoub (Farah and Tedesco's manager) also manages Nofa. Hopefully Farah is getting into his ear about both of them!

I'd say Teddy was probably happy with the contract but his manager wasn't and reckons he can fetch a fair bit more.

I guess the question is how much is he actually worth.

Long term he is as important to our game as Slater is for the Storm. He plays very similar comparing both at around the same level of experience.

I doubt our offer is anywhere near appropriate.

In today's climate i think he could nudge $600k if not higher.

no, he's not yet jarryd hayne, 2009, but very well could be…

i don't remember who said it, but there is a saying that goes something along the lines of "the true value of something is what someone is willing to pay for it".

supply and demand... a young gun fullback with great prospects to become a star of the game is short in supply and high in demand.

in 2 years time he could be a dime a dozen, but right now he is highly sought after and therefore his price (value) is high, or could be perceived to be inflated.

No im not that easily impressed that im acting overwhelmed or getting carried away.

Im offering an opinion based on what others have suggested is a supply and demand situation. If he turns out to be the player he is looking like being the $600k is your starting price.

How do you know this? He looks like he is really enjoying his footy here and forming great bonds out on the field. An unhappy player doesnt win MOM awards playing for a team he is going to leave whilst smiling and celebrating with his mates.

Well - lets have a little closer look @ this.
Lets for example say the media is right which i doubt & Teddy does leave.

In my mind that would have 2 be one of the dumbest moves in the history of the NRL.

Would you want the dumbest player in the world in your team?
Would you leave Brooks & Co. for Reynolds or Pearce?
Where is the logic there?
Wouldn't that be a backward step?

After all isn't it every players goal to play for the best team in order to be the best.

It's a no brainer.

If Teddy leaves then i hope he will be happy to be a bridesmaid for the next 10 years of his career -

cause something special is happening at the Wests Tigers.

At the moment, after the last 4 weeks, after what we have seen unravel - I'm beginning to understand what Dorothy meant when she said to Toto all those years ago.

" We are not in Kansas anymore Toto"

Have a great weekend folks!

I know this as fact.

The club wants to and will do everything to keep Tedesco.
They are not going to pay overs to keep him.
The situation with Tedesco will be finalised within weeks not months..

According to Phil Rothfield the roosters will announce they signed tedesco shortly.

Don't know how accurate he is when it comes to this sort of stuff, however would he print it in the Sunday paper of there was no truth to it??

With Brooks on 400k and Farah 900k that sounds about right.

Mate emailed mayer during week and he replied along the lines of 'the decision for teddy to stay at WT is down to his manger, his father and himself..

Where is the quote from Mayer saying Brooks is on 400k because I doubt that.

As if Mayer or any other CEO would divulge a players salary
