Well done to our young guns. I thought maybe Jacob Miller might be in this group. Anyone have any ideas why he wouldn't be picked given he was in the junior Kangaroos?

It is pretty annoying when you think of it that Moses and Brookes will leave because there would be no space for them as Benji's has the 6 until he retires.

Because all of these kids as far as I can see are eligible to play in the 20's SOO next year, Miller is 21.

Well Laurie Daley is a man that knows the game in and out, been on the scene for a very long time and doubt will know talent when he sees it! Laurie knows knows what it takes to represent at State of Origin level and will have a high standard of who he believes are worthy enough to pull on that blue jersey he holds so close to his heart!!
State of Origin is more than just talent and skill, it takes the right character and attitude on and off the field and this will be a huge factor in selection too!! Maybe Millers attitude and cockiness rubs Laurie up the wrong way, just as it's thought to have done so with Sheensy?!!!! Or maybe he's not a member of the Jacob Miller fan club like Payton or Potter!!!
Whatever the reasons are, players need the occasional non-selection reality check to make them better players in the future, so hopefully this is a good wake up call for Miller because we can only benefit from his extra motivation next season!!

Yes and key words being "as far as I can see" so IMO the topic is still open for discussion! Fervent imagination? Possibly, but each to their own interpretation and each to their own opinion!!! It's what makes this forum enjoyable!! LOL

If anyone is going to be the next big thing in SOO ,Chris Lawrence is the bloke I hope to see find his best footy again and make a name for himself at that level

Would be good to see Lawrence return to that form, but Woods will be the best addition next year.
Well done to the young fellas for keeping themselves in the framework.

I'd say Milller is excluded from this list because of age. He did play for NSW this year.

…. or because he's 21?

If Potter lets him unleash, Miller won't be a BLUE IN WAITING for much longer.

Six Wests Tigers players have been selected in the Preliminary squad to attend the NSWRL Origin Pathways camp.

Mitchell Moses, David Nofoaluma, Luke Brooks, Curtis Sironen, Brenden Santi and Kyle Lovett will join approximately 50 other players from 11 other NRL Clubs to attend the development camp at the Sydney Academy of Sport, Narrabeen on Friday 30 November to Sunday 2 December.

David Nofoaluma, Brenden Santi and Kyle Lovett were all members of the victorious Under 20s Premiership winning team.

Curtis Sironen also played two matches for the NYC team and six NRL games before a season ending shoulder injury in Round 20 of this year.

Mitchell Moses and Luke Brooks were part of the Balmain SG Ball Grand Final winning team that beat Canberra Raiders 42-20.

Moses was crowned SG Ball Player of the Year and was also rewarded with selection, along with Brooks, in this year’s Australian Schoolboys team.

All six players will be training full time with the 2013 NRL squad up until Christmas.

I think Marshall will see this contract out and then move on to rugby union overseas , for about 1.5 million per season , that is based in his manager recent comments , and I wouldn't blame him .

By the time that happens Moses and brooks would have reached the ripe age of 21 and Miller will be a well developed 1st grade 1/2
