I can't believe the NRL continue to glorify boring footy. We see the Dragons do it each week and we saw Melbourne do it to us last week - Grinding out a win. Something needs to be done about the way the game is evolving.
The AFL has things like: The fact that it's already established; half AND quarter time where they can sell more advertising space (HUGE money maker)…
The best thing the NRL has is the game itself - it's fast, exciting, and anything can happen - but we're doing our best to lose it!
Grinding out a win is the most boring footy any team can produce. Why does the NRL persist in adjusting rules (such as the play the ball) to promote teams to try do LESS with the footy. It's getting to the point where the team who drops the ball the least, then has the most luck with that 50/50 kick-and-hope to the corner will win.
I know I'm a tiger, but the best season of footy has been 2005 because it was the year attacking footy was trumps. Ever since they changed the rules surrounding the play the ball in 2006 it's been going down hill.
