TAB Sportsbet:

Canberrra: $1.50
Wests Tigers: $2.60

Canberra are a little shorter than I would have expected but that is in keeping with the general hype.

I'm gonna go into Wests Leagues Campbelltown before the supporters bus picks us up and put some $$$ on Wests TIgers beating Canberra Raiders. I'm also going to put some money on Wests Tigers winning the comp this year too. I think we are out to $15 now to win the comp.

The Raiders should be low odds to win they have most things heavily pointed in their favor. The old saying back with your head and not your heart. Tigers are not without a chance but really we will need some things bounce our way for a change

They stack the odds 'til we take to the street
For we kill with the skill to survive

I think we'll win.

loving all the attention, all the hype, all the pressure is on them…...let's hope they feel it

I have always stated that, as much as it hurts to say, but - The Raiders are a VERY similar team to us - On their day, can beat anyone in the comp, in a canter, much like us. Also similarily (sp?) they do not take the pressure of the 'favourites' tag very well, just like us.

I like being the underdogs….... GO BOYS!

$6.50 for Tigers 13+

Also took the double Tigers 13+ / Panthers 13+: Paying $39\. I know it is unlikely but the value is there. I think it should be more like $12.

I have been thinking about the bet mentioned on the Footy Show last night - $250k on the Raiders/St Kilda double for this weekend.

That sort of money is not thrown about by mugs, this sort of money is generally educated and well directed. This leads me to question, what does the punter know that we don't?

Am I reading into it too much - perhaps.

some d***head with too much money and sees two teams that have been hit hard by injuries. sucks for him cos our players are going to come through good. i hope the tigers win so he thinks twice next time about punting against the tigers. i wouldnt think much about it. although if you had 250k to splash around then it is probably an enticing opportunity unless you know how good the tigers are!

beware the wounded tiger!

Good luck to him or her. That punter would be better served putting that on the Tigers/Western Bulldogs double.
