The one sentence that shows sheens has lost it

I would drop the coach at the end of the year and quite a few players along with him. Of course not that easy to rid players under contract but the club needs a massive broom swept through it, IMO.

Nothing changes round here, cause nothing changes on the field….same old rubbish year in year out

''a few good wins''

Yep, thats about it, then 6 or 7 losses straight, then a win or two....then 4 losses...and on a good season we finsh with 5 or 6 wins and make the semis and everyones gushing

You are happy with hum drum yawn

He said moving Farah would weaken the 9\. Yet he still did it.

Yeah this is what did my head in. Why in the world would he do it? We had Humble, we had Miller. He could've used Chisholm but no. Lets use Robbie. We looked far better in attack once Robbie did move back to hooker and Humble came on. By then though the game and our confidence was shot.

Farah did look better at 9 obviously, problem was humble offered nothing, Masada I thought was good, but humble nothing

We lost a halfback and have done nothing to rectify it.

With a halfback we finish top 4 two years in a row. Without one we are inconsistent and stagnant.

But ask our coach and he will tell you benji has been playing halfback for years with the six on his back.

We lack the discipline, commitment and organisation of a winning culture. It is what happens when you have zero consequences for anyone in the inner sanctum regardless of how poorly they may play. In fact we reward mediocre football by doing things like signing Moltzen for 3 more years when his form does not and never has warranted a three year deal.

With the exception on one game in Canberra our play with the football in hand has been pretty pedestrian the entire season.

You bring in talented footballers like Humble or others before him and they look average because they are not given a game plan to execute and not given the ball and structure to enable execution of the plans even if there were ones

is sheens ever right in here….yes you do stick the boot in after a few losses...that never changes

look back you idiot.. everyone has raised the same problems for the last 20 rounds. nothing has changed. the SAME issues are ALWAYS there win, lose or draw.

sticking the boot in to the coach? i feel like sticking the boot in up your… because your comments are nothing but defensive towards the coach and whinging about others whinging.

Humble does and did offer something but the game was well over when he got the opportunity. Let's see what Sheen's does next week, I can hardly wait.

Completely agree! The only game we deserved to win was Canberra in the rain. Our attack looked OK today, Souths defened really well. But our defence was terrible. We made Sutton look like King Wally - that hurt!

We need change, but it won't happen. He can use all the injuries late in the year as an excuse. I can handle todays loss, but last weeks was really tough!

A lot is relying on Braith…....

Doesn't matter the game was gone humble still could have contributed, what did he do to be knocking down the doors?

Humble is certainly not knocking down the door but he was bought to fill the half/fullback roll in times when needed. He runs at the line and takes them on and is a good defender, to come on with 20 minutes to go with no chance of winning the game and your team mates being placed under the hammer from the Marshall shuffle, it's a big ask for anyone.

Sorry but I see that attitude has ppl being 'enablers' and making excuses for him not contributing.
I agree with his defense, but we don't need that from our 7 as much as other things

The current top two teams both missed the 8 last year.
They both have new coaches this year.
Coincidence?

Besides a few players, both clubs have similar sides from last year or have promoted from within.

Why do we never hear pressure on Sheens from the media? Every club bar us.

Yes there were players missing one on one tackles and missing 6 tackles in one half of footy. But Sheens is the guy who picks a squad with 3 hookers.

He lost it after stating "Timmy has trained at 7 all off season. He's run all the plays, his body type has been developed to play 7\. He'll be our half back for the season"…........then moves him. Forever weakening 1 position to try to strengthen another, which does not work.

We've had 8 different half pairings this year, 8\. Is it any wonder our attack does not know what it's doing? apparently the players are to blame rather than the person making the team changes......

After Tedesco went down, Brown should have been put at fullback, not one someone who trained at 7 all off season. There's no hindsight, that's what should have happened. Moltzen should have been given a bit of time in the 7 to settle in.

It's like Sheens does not know Benji at all, since when has he ever shown anything remotely like organisation capability? The guy is unpredictable, not something you really want in an organiser. Benji is the spark, the x factor, it's been not only said for years, but it's been shown on the field plenty of times. He and the team needs an organiser in the number 7, someone who's happy to not overplay their hand, someone happy to direct the team around the park, someone happy to let Benji work his magic a few times a game.

Lui doing what he did has killed the side more than any other changes going into this year.

The opening post has focused on one sentence made by Sheens. Perhaps look at the rest of his comments in the press. He has said they had little focus on the match, hoping for other results to go their way and are not playing with sufficient desperation. That is pretty much the worst thing you can read in the press from a coach - he is questioning their commitment. As player, it would be disappointing to read such comments.

The season has not met the expectations of many. It all went wrong 30 minutes into the first match with Tedesco's injury a tragic indicator for the whole season. This has been the worst season for injury and I cannot remember the last time we lost 4 players in the one match (Cowgirls). The injuries are not an excuse for a lack of commitment, but they are in regard to the quality and cohesion of the team. The performance yesterday when under pressure screamed of a team that was thrown together on Thursday or Friday.

The miracle of the whole season, is that they are still alive in the competition. They have a couple of "weak" matches coming up against Parramatta and St. George-Illawarra and if they can scrape one or two wins, a couple of the troops may come back to perhaps salvage something out of the season.

I wouldn't be calling the Dragons weak based on their current form. They'll put 40 on the Tigers at this rate.

Yeah and Parra have had an aweful season but I am sure they have us pencilled in for a possible win. They will give it everything against us on Monday night. We will have to double yesterdays effort to win that one, I am sure.

ABC interview after Rabbits game

"Normally I would play Lawrence at 6 & Marshall at 7" Yeah like that has worked out so well in the past

Agree - they are playing for contracts at Parra with Stuart coming in, so they will be out to put their best foot forward. This game will be a tough one.

And that my friend is why we are at 10th position and sliding, that has never worked, having 2 players play out of position in the halves :bash ,can't the board just sack this bloke now.
