Hoping Jesse Sue can stay fit for a whole season and have a break out season

Ava could be the other I feel might step up another gear as well

I'm adding Lodge to this list. Along with Woods & Taupau, gives us some real strike power.

Just hope the likes of Siro, Santi & Akauola can add something in the 2nd row.

Props: Galloway & Woods - Lodge and Ava as back up
Lock: Taupau - Sue to replace him.
2nd Row: Siro & Akaoula - Halatau, Santi or possibly Liolevave to be the reserve player.
Farah at hooker.

I reckon that is a good pack assuming the 2nd rowers can pick up their games.

If Siro and Akoula fire…we may have a far more dangerous pack than most think...they are both very big lads with definite offload ability.

If we have dangerous ball playing 2nd rowers on both sides this could pose a real threat.

As others have said it all depends on the second rowers. I don't think it's unrealistic to say that by the end of the year we could have the best prop rotation in the comp. Woods and taupau are both established test players. Galloway at his best is as good as anyone. Ava has improved significantly and is now a genuine first grader and Lodge is the best young prop in the game. Then Dallas graham who looks a real prospect and Nathan brown who I wouldnt rule out yet either.

You would think sironen, halatau and akauloa will be the back Rowers come round 1\. I think akauloa can be a good first grader, has all the skills, just a bit raw. It's up to the likes of santi, funaki and Lioleveva to step up and grab a spot for themselves.

It's pretty impressive Lamar lioleveva gone straight out of school to Holden cup then got himself a first grade contract. Think a condition of him staying would be a promise of first grade..

Obviously 2 things will happen, either the inexperienced forwards will crumble from the lack of 1st Grade experience around them or they will take it in there stride and have us saying who is Austin, Thompson and Blair? Who needs them .
Wishing the young boys all the best and make us proud. :sign:

If those 2 fire I think our pack will be great. They have a lot of ability and they could go great. Its just that they are both not hardened first graders plus Akoula can only seem to play really limited minutes before he starts to stuff up.

Ball playing skills most definitely will cause issues , but they both have some really bad one on one misses in them defensively

We have a very solid front row rotation which should generally go forward well. What we need are a couple of backrowers who can average over 100 metres in attack. Sirro, Sue and Akauola are all capable and it will be up to them to look for work, particularly in working the ball out of our danger end. There's enough size and mobility but it will come down to hunger and personal drive.

Like others have said, there are many unknowns about the those that will make up the backrow. I am however warming to the idea of Lawrence playing there. Fearless, straight runner; could be just what we need.

Ball playing Backrowers is what we are lacking in my opinion . Sirro is the only one i can think of , Sirro just needs to find the confidence and his ball playing skills will come natural . There will be added pressure on our experienced players in Taupau , Woods ,Galloway and Halatau to make up for the Backrowers we have lost IMO.

Watching Gareth Ellis highlights on youtube, we need someone that will run the angles like he did. He scored a lot of tries coming in at an angle, something that has been missing for the WT ever sense he left.
I'm predicting a big year from Siro this season.

Is where we'll be found out i'm afraid to say. Yes, we got the spine, but outside Woods and Taupau we're pretty bare in the forwards. Its going to take a massive effort this yr for our pack to compete with other teams packs.

And that's the problem on the other hand , with our current backline we will need to win forward battles to win games
