The Papenhuyzen decision...

Perhaps Freddy should have told Paps that he just needed to wait because he was in the middle of a grand plan to coax Tedesco to move to the rorters. I'm sure Paps would have stayed had he known the gig was coming up. Let's face it, the competition was much less at the tigers than storm for the 1 jumper

I understand and support the anger at the media.

However, it really is the club's fault that we haven't had a fullback since Teddy the Tooth left.

It's pretty obvious to the discerning eye.

As I mentioned in another post, imo Hartigan and Maguire are heading in a good trajectory. Our best juniors being identified and secured. The best from other areas secured. Coaching appointments made and pathways streamlined. The COE soon to come on line. All commendable initiatives.

I wouldn't like to believe we cannot acknowledge our past failings and learn from them.

Exactly, its almost like certain sections of the NRL media/community are white-anting certain teams to achieve an agenda.... I wonder what that may be....lol:grimacing:

Don’t wonder too hard. It’s the age old ‘too many teams in Sydney’ debate.

And one all conquering Chairman that has friends in high places (and the media) and controls a club with no fans and no juniors.

You only have to watch any NRL media and you can see the bias toward the team we shall not name.

Golf anyone?

Cotric is officially listed as a Canberra raider in the nrl squad list Geo

Cotric may officially still be a Raider, but they are officially about to lose him, which is what I think the original point was about.

All good.

Heard on the radio Papenhuyzen being discuss let go by WTS when he went to Melbourne he was their 3rd string fullback and only got a crack when Storm let go of Bridge Croft and injury caused them to shift Jerome Hughes to half which gave Papenhuyzen he chance and the rest is history but amazingly at the time Storm were shopping him around because they considered he was unlikely to make it in first grade
