The refereeing

Still don't understand how the parra player can get up, shove Hastings in the face in front of the ref and then get awarded the penalty. Even if Hastings gave him some facial treatment on the ground, it happens multiple times every game.

First offence, so the reaction is secondary and only acted on if worthy of bin or reportable.

Well according to the stats Eels were perfect as they didn't give any 6 again calls to us the whole game... That is just a joke in itself and all you could here is ref telling us to get off players straight away but not when Eels players laying on us. Todd Payton was right and as per normal it was washed under the carpet.

this must be the greatest win in the history of rugby league. Our team is the worst in our history and they have no heart. They will lose by 50 easy. And the ref hates us

Can we enjoy a rare win without the ref bashing, he was fine

Ref lovedddd a held too long 6 again for the slimers today

but admittedly there was more than one suspect pass from us that they let slide...so maybe a bit of karma

There where forward passes from both sides today but that is on the touch judges as it is one of their main jobs to advise the ref about them. His policing of the 6 again in the rucks was inexcusable though because we got shafted there for the full game and both sides where at fault

Happens all the time calling our players by name, to get off. As soon as we touch them. Yet not once did I hear that twit call a slugs player out, not once!
Gives them all the momentum. Like payten said! Unless more coaches call it out, the same will happen!

I would just like to see consistency with the penalties for teams coming out from there own try line .For us to get canned in the first half like that was ordinary by the ref.
Yea there was the rake by offa for first penalty but the others holding down there didn't seem to be much difference from the eels in the 2nd half once we started to get more ball .

Problem is, its a nothing first offence from Hastings. The reaction far outweighed the first offence. If that's the case and it's acceptable from now, the next time one of our players gets some facial attention, you just get up, shove the opposition player in the head and get awarded a penalty.

Man o man we were getting caned again. Helped Parra a lot and they were soooo soft. I nearly blew a gasket at the end when Roberts was tackled without the ball and of course no penalty.

Honestly not even close to getting a fair go.
Parra were not called offside in the whole match, the speed of the game these days I call BS on that it’s impossible not to be offside once in an 80 minute game , he was only reffing one side

Dreadful. Just absolutely awful. Didn’t get a penalty for the first 25. No set restarts all first half. Our players continually held down and worked over but nothing done. Nofoaluma ruled to have grounded it when he clearly had not. Pass knocked down in a tackling motion ruled not played at when it’s been ruled that way for years. Butler somehow allows a challenge of Matterson being all over Tom. Matterson doesn’t release him but bunker ignores it. Parra player has his hands in Hastings’ face but somehow gets the penalty. James Roberts tackled before he got the ball.

Penalties 6-4 them
Restarts 4-1 them (according to nrl.com - I thought it was 5-1)
