The Run Home

Hey crew

While its mostly likely the end of the road there is a slim chance we can sneak into the 8.

If the titans lose to the panthers and the cows and we beat the warriors and the raiders (difficult i know) then good times.

As difficult a season as it is im holding onto that chance.

:sign:

Come on fellas aim up

Seems to be the story of our existance, still a mathematical chance with a couple of rounds to go… Didnt think it would be possible 3 months ago, so we havent done too badly really...

Warriors are still a mathematical chance though, so going to be tough winning over there... This thread might get a bit more mileage if the Panthers get up on the Goldie...

Carn the Panthers...

Really hope the panthers can do the GC, it would be nice to see how the team responds to Friday's humiliation in a game that means something

I think the problem with these scenarios is that we could lose these matches because of our unreliable goal kicking.
Please WT acquire a quality goal kicker.

Tigers just show some heart for the fans that spend there time love and money on you this week when you play the Warriors

I really think the Cowboys will beat GC in the final round. If they do, then the game against Penrith becomes our biggest game of the yr because our season hinges on it. Our pulse is faint, but it hasn't stopped beating yet.

Surely the panthers owe us a favour after last week. Come on panthers. I reckon cowboys will beat the titans, i also reckon the raiders will have 3rd place locked in and wont have much to play for against us.

Nobody gets any favours. :unamused:

The raiders will be looking to snare 2nd spot which is better then 3rd in view of their venues weeks 2 or 3 depending on their result in week 1 of the semis

Panthers owing us a favour? Um that was said tongue in cheek, not literal. But happy to spell it out to you in futire to save you confusion.

For the perfect weekend to happen, i believe the below needs to happen:

- Cowboys beat bulldogs
- Manly beats Raiders
- Penrith beats Titans
- Tigers beat Warriors
- Sharks beat Roosters

This effectively puts us 1 point behind the titans. They have to play cowboys in townsville. Cowboys must win to stay in the top 4.

Raiders lose and sharks win, mean that raiders will finish 3rd. They wont be able to catch the sharks and cant be caught by 4th. Which means nothing to play for next week, which hopefully also means resting some players.

Tigers to redeem themselves from last weeks shocker and get the warriors. Its not too much to ask is it. It would make the perfect weekend and give us a great chance to play at leichardt oval in front of a sell out. Go the tigers!!!!

Tomorrow's game just got better if Tigers win will be an even better game next week

Tomorrow will really test the Wests Tigers revolve. If our forwards put in we have a good chance.

We've been on the cusp of the top eight, fighting it out with one or more teams, relying on that last final win and other scores to go our way several times in the past, only to lose out every single time. Wouldn't it be nice if the cards fell our way just for once?

THE Gold Coast’s dreams of a drought-breaking finals berth have suffered a double blow with key duo Jarryd Hayne and Ashley Taylor battling injuries ahead of the toughest road trip in the NRL.

Hayne is undergoing intensive treatment to clear pooling blood in his calf and was running at about 90 per cent in Saturday’s heartbreaking 15-14 loss to Penrith.
