The Run Home

you know we are "gone" when people start using "what if" or "mathematically" in their arguements. All of what they say is true but very unlikely.
What if the titanic hadnt hit an iceberg it would be very famous for a much better reason

Well that's not true because winning our last 3 would get us in. The "what ifs" would only give us room for another loss.

So it has come down to this.

If Gold Coast lose to the Panthers next week and Cowboys in rd 26 (which both may very well happen), and Tigers beat Warriors next week and Raiders in rd 26 (neither of which will likely happen), WESTS TIGERS FINISH 8TH! What a climax that would be, despite everything. It would only be the most unlikely finals appearance in the history of rugby league, but that is still there for the boys to play for.

It's a fair chance that Titans could lose both. In the old days we'd be sending a message to the Panthers, offering them a carton or two if they can win this week.

It's not the craziest scenario. The Warriors have been average the last 2 weeks and haven't looked interested. If we can beat them and the Panthers beat the Titans, we have it all to play for against the Raiders. We beat them, Cowboys put the Titans to the sword, we're in.

Easy.

Parramatta are giving it to the Raiders at the moment, we beat the Warriors and then have a grandstand finish against the Raiders at Leichhardt…......

Its not over the Titans have to beat Panthers this week then Cows there is a small hope

If the Tigers can beat the warriors then the last week will be fun

The good thing is that both weeks we play after the Titans and will be aware of our fate.

I just dont see the Titans winning there last two games they mite make it on 27

If the Titans lose both games and we win both games - We make the 8.
Difficult I know - But far from impossible….

Titans have the Panthers and The Cowboys - I don't think they'll beat the Cows, So if the Panthers get up and we get up next week, We're still in with a shot.

A realistic shot, Maybe not - But a shot none the less....

We're out. The way Canberra are playing we'll be lucky not to have another 60 put on us.

I don't disagree with you, But Parra were terrible yesterday and still well in the game…

We need someone in the top 8 to be caught cheating the cap to make it.
Oh wait that happened and we still didn't. Lol

I'm with you, Batboy. There's a fairly good chance Titans could lose both. For us, Warriors look gone and Raiders may be playing for nothing.

I'll be interested to see what odds Juro gives us. I'm guessing less than 5%.
