The Run Home.....

Let's win each week then what other teams do which we have no control over is irrelevant. Injuries always play a part at the business end of the season.

The Sharks are quietly going about their business and maybe the team to knock us out. Lucky to get away with that win on the weekend and maybe the difference in securing a semifinal birth.

Solid team but maybe they're quiet because they're beating teams placed 9 -16? They beat a depleted Manly and otherwise have been smacked by those above them. Easiest draw I can remember.

Sharks knocked us out in the final round last season. they are the stumbling block for Wests tigers to reach the finals.

How annoying was Mulitalo during that game. When I knew we'd lost the match, all I as hoping for was for someone to knock him out cold.

Hopefully we get one over them this season.

The good thing about our run is if we do make it through, we're likely going to be a team good enough to do something in the finals since it means we'll have beaten at least 3 other teams who are also in the finals. Compare that to the Sharks who will probably make the 8 just by beating up on the bottom few teams in the comp and will probably get blown out week 1 of the finals.

While I obviously don't think we'll win the title or go particularly close, I think unlike previous years whenever we faced tough opposition, it was a matter of when and not if they'd put points on us. I actually have enough confidence in this team that if we can avoid injuries, we can hold any team under 18 points and then if we get a few lucky breaks in attack, can pull off an upset. Just looking at our losses to Canberra and Penrith - they were tight games and if a few bounces went our way in either match, we could have just easily won.

He was carrying on like a "pork chop" in the game against Saints the other night as well.

We need to get Packer onto him.

Let's save Russ for JWH

Pretty sure he was a fruit cake when we played them last year too. Might have been his first game. Another punchable head.

agree on the fact that the next 3 games are must wins. Warriors and Dogs go without saying (dogs playing a lot tougher under Georgallis and could worry us), but Newcastle are a top 8 side and I think it'd do a world of good for us mentally to know that we can beat a top 8 side.

from there it's anyone's guess. we're a better side than Souths and I think we will beat them. I think we can give the Chooks, Panthers and Melbourne plenty of headaches but whether we beat them I'm not sure. we'll definitely go close against Manly but not sure if we'll get a result. Parra last round I think we'll beat, but whether or not we're still in the frame at that point remains to be seen.

going to be quite the ride that's for sure.

It seems to me that most teams have been fairly inconsistent (apart from the Storm), even Parra, Roosters and Penrith have played average games, so you never know what you are going to face on the day.
Certainly I have watched the Knights, Manly, Sharks, Rabbits and Raiders all put in relatively poor performances that we could certainly better on recent form. Cut out the brain explosions and dumb plays and errors and we'd give it a shake.

The issue we will have is backing up against Roosters, Manly, Souths, Storm, Eels, Panthers.
I feel the winds of change are blowing at concord and we may get some luck with injuries.
You never know who goes down for other teams also.

I think we will make it this year. We need to win the next three against Warriors, Knights and Storm to create momentum. We play the Rabbits, Panthers and Eels and I like our chances as they are second match ups.

Eels are also last round they may have nothing to play for you never know how it plays out have to keep winning. For and against is also solid.

It is possible Arthur will rest Moses and Gutho...Maybe even Mahoney.

Need to win our next 3 which is absolutely doable:

1. Warriors
2. Knights (with injuries)
3. Bulldogs

From there, we will have tough opposition, but being positive, perhaps it's a blessing in disguise? Tougher opposition might mean we will have had the match practice against the top teams and help us topple a big scalp?

Did the ladder predictor, we can just make it winning 5 more games and that's not really having other results fall our way either

To make it worthwhile us getting in the 8, we really need to beat 1 or 2 above us at least.

Gee it's going to be tough to make the 8.
Our next three games are must win, Warriors, Knights and Bulldogs.
Lose any one of those and it's good night I reckon.

From the last six, I can only maybe see us only winning two, Manly and Souths.

Roosters, Penrith, Melbourne and Parra I don't think we can realistically win.

Can we make the 8 ?.....it's going to be very difficult.

Agree can't afford to drop any games from Teams below us.
One thing that i like is that Madge has given most players a crack this season however still worried about our Half/ 5/8 combination?
AD is safe option but does not give us lots of variety in attack with speed.
Harry well we know what he brings so we half maybe half a spine sorted.

Knights losing players will help and of we win against them they might slide out of the 8 completely in a few weeks.

Must win games are Rabbits / Manly as they are bottom 8 teams.
Like to see Dragons beat Sharks this weekend, wonder of SCOMO did the revised draw when it was released....lol
In reality knowing prior seasons we most likely will finish 9th........again

How bored would you be being a roostes / storm fan. Always winning comps. Yawn!

Someone on here said after the match against the Donkeys that he now knew how it felt to be a Rooster's fan.

I know what he meant. I walked around all week with a stupid grin on my face. A few more weeks like that would be very therapeutic.
