The Sheens meltdown

Can anyone please explain why tim sheens would come out in the open regarding this business with benji marshall and how some people wanted him gone from the tigers on the eve of the four nations?

1\. is this good for club morale?
2\. is this a cover up for the signings we still havent got?
3\. Does he feel threatened to lose his job?
4\. What is the point of this useless information?
5\. Is the club alienating Benji Marshall?
6\. How will Benji react?
7\. Is this a gee up?

I'm at a loss people, at a loss. If this is just for headlines then some people need to question their position on this planet. I hope something positive can come out of this.

I think the title to this post answers all yours questions,
its a Sheens meltdown.
When Sheens brought this to the medias attension there were no positives that could of come from it.
It was a selfish act.

He's already setting it up so that if he isn't wanted / if he's sacked............it won't look like it was his fault, it will look like incompetent management. "Hey, these guys didn't even want Benji".

It is very disappointing that a senior coach would say what Tim Sheens has to the media. No good can come from this at all it has the potential of destroying another campaign. 2010 can be over before it starts if this boils over. It is a shame if this happens and if it does then Tim must be sacked and any player that doesnt want to be there can go to. This club should not have agendas all be it personal ones. This club deserves better from the senior group and lets just hope that its just the media blowing it out of proportion.
I've got a good feel about 2010 lets just hope we're not railroaded by what has transpired. Go the TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To be honest I don;t particularly care what his motivation was. It was a childish, egotistical, amateur act that as others have said can lead to no good at all. As the most experienced coach in the nrl who is also the Australian coach it is a pathetic, selfish joke.

Quite possibly texx, but dont you think if Sheens had kept a lid on it for this long, he'd be aware where the leak was coming from when fronted with it by the media (he was not very complimentary to that faction)…then why would he have accomodated them, opened up a can of worms to make himself look bad?
He's too clever for that.

Look mate I am aware that you are a fan of Tim's but you surely cant be serious in defending these actions.

My guess its Sheens using the four nation media exposure to throw a few knives at some foes in the board room back home. I can understand some board members having reservations about resigning Benji last year, they are running a buissness and at the time their were plenty of question marks over Benji's long term prospects. Iam glad they did resign Benji but at the time it was a big risk. Sheens and Benji have to be carefull, the club is bigger than any individuals

Using logic it is not hard to come to that conclusion.

I have no doubts though that the person responsible for this leak and the leaking of the Longmuir emails to the Telegraph will stand without opposition for re-appointment to the board. That is the truly sad part of all of this for mine
