The Song Remains the Same

Listen guys - Keith Galloway in an article today stated that 'we' are desperate to beat Canberra.
Does that fill you with confidence with this mind set?
I know the players have changed
but the culture of winning has not yet been embedded in our culture since our debut on the big stage.
Have you noticed that?
I agree with Wayne Pearce on this one
- the jury is still out on Potter
Have a great weekend people.

I find it strange that Galloway (and sometimes Lawrence) act as spokepeople for the team. IMO, they, more than anyone else, are responsible for the situation the team find themselves in!! At least with Chrissy, I think he really does try, maybe sometimes too hard, but Galloway…?? ....not convinced that he knows what it means to be an effective front row leader, particularly when the team needs him most. Please, spare me comments from Sauce until he earns the trust to deliver on what he talks about.

i'd rather keefy and lawrence be making these comments than Nofo or Brooks. They're good but also young and inexperienced. e.g. simona telling the media that teddy had resigned. Also, comments are a lot more credible coming from the older sources.

I felt certain this thread was going to be about the the "Marshall Needs to Play Smarter" article in the paper today.

Song has definately changed. Most teams would have lost that game. Culture is changing rapidly….isn't it clear? Potter is doing a grand job, in years past Canberra would have beat us by 30 last night.

Galloway has been going great...i cant see what all the bagging is about

Galloways defence in the middle was great. The big Raiders forwards were trying to hammer through. But they never looked like getting through Galloway and Woods. Even though they both played long minutes. Ricky would be spewin that he's fresh big forwards couldn't break through.
Taupau and Blair also were heroic.
Galloway doesn't have the speed of the other forwards in our team, but no one else has the size of Galloway. Last year when he was injured so many teams went through the middle of us. Not this year. Galloway has only missed one game this year, and Woods is having a Stella season playing with him. It pays off having a man mountain in the middle.

Sums up big Keefy's contribution, slow, but solid as. I cannot fathom the bagging either, he is not flash, nor overly aggressive, but he brings plenty and his peers all recognise it.

Getting back to the first post, I can see why they're desperate to win against Canberra. The run home is really tough. I think we play the Raiders again as well as Cronulla and The Dragons but aside from those lowly ranked teams, it's all high flyers. We have to win against the also-rans and hopefully pick up the odd win against the big guns. Keiths statement seems spot on.
