The Standard of reffing has been poor this weekend

its been very poor especially in the rooster dogs game and the parra panthers game….hope it improves come finals time because some of these decisions made this weekend will cost a team a GF spot

Unfortunately, Referee's are a protected species…

It's no different to every other game, it just stands out more in some games. Anasta's Dissallowed Try was a perfect example of how they don't understand Football. Clearly a 'competition for the ball' isn't on there agenda, and then 2 minutes later, they miss a blatant forward pass...

I'm resigned to just accepting we will end up like the AFL. A game designed for television...

That was one of the worst displays i've seen.

Waste of time, just get spin and rhetoric

That segment is there purely to appease some fans and take pressure off the refs, that said we are and have been since pay TV and now the VR seeing them more and more, we get replay after replay so the errors are magnified, its now a TV product rather than real rugby league when all passes were back 45 degrees almost, and that too sees more errors, the NRL amend and modify riules all the time to get a more attractive product but this also imo in turn creates more room for errors

Just this weekend? What about this whole season?! There's been some absolute howlers… 4 metre forward passes going unchecked, bad grounding of the ball, strips, lost balls etc... Some of these happen right in front of them and they still make the wrong call. Even the worst of the worst, Greg "7-tackles" Hartley came out and said the standard is horrible.

The bleeding hearts come out and trot out the same old lines like "How about you do their job for a day... It's a thankless job... Everyone makes mistakes..." etc. These guys are being paid ridiculous sums of money to completely stuff up games to the point where teams win in spite of bad refereeing, not because the game is overseen competently by match officials.

Jamie Lyon's try last year where he "grounded" the ball over the line by rolling over on the left side of his torso did it for me. Something has to be done and done soon because it is getting to the point where the refereeing is damaging the game itself.
