This inconsistency DNA - and let's call it for what it is - is slowly becoming our trademark. Sadly Madge seems to have no idea on how to change it. We can't hang our hopes on a turn around when clearly it is not luck or faith that is against us. The team is either in a state of a perennial anxiety soon as points are scored against us or mentally too easy to defeat. In any case they require a coach that has the ability to leave his ego out the door and get into the players heads rather than one that expects that work alone will get the job done. So forget about remaking them. You have to accept them as is and make the best of a bad situation. To do that you need some smart mental strategies. Which we lack. The key to effectively playing present is to focus on the 'next play.' Not the one that just happened--it's over. Not the one that may happen later, but the play right in front of you. You must learn how to focus on the task at hand and execute that to the best of your ability. Then do that for the next play. And the next play. And the play after that. One play at a time.

Most of them need to be taken out behind the shed and put down. Absolute plodders

Sure, but it is all too easy to put it down to that. Why is it that a poddler becomes a better player when they are coached differently? A coach that turns performance around is able to do that a number of ways, of which ability to tackle is one, reading the play is another and so on, but everyone has different learning ability so strategies must be employed accordingly..

We have had a few coaches, yet they still plod on. Maybe we need a supercoach??

dar dut dut dar dar,

What is needed is a coach that coaches the team as a team as a unit ! Unfortunately Maguires time at the Tigers is over whether we like it or not .His coaching is getting worse each year each week the team is looking more and more an uncoached rabble .
I have been sitting on the fence about another coaching change but after watching last night a team that played against 12 and had absolutely no idea how to adjust to the fact the coach needs to go..it doesn't matter if a few better players are brought in IMO thats is not where the problem is!

Is it the coach - how do you know?

In my experience in playing sport (and I am no superhero sports star), teams with inconsistent attitude or long losing records oftn seem to accept they will always be inconsistent or they will lose no mattter what. Teams that regularly win believe they will win no matter who they play.
These attitudes determine outcomes and I have no doubt the coaching staff and recruitment team are working towards replacing those with that attitude. This can be seen often in the forwards, who now seem most times to be able to hold their own at the very least against most teams.
We need it transferred to the backs now and that seems to be moreof a task to make the transition. Like most I was very disappointed with them - Talau made a lot of mistakes but will hopefully learn from them.
BJ and to a lesser extent LL have me more worried. They just don't seem switched on or able to adjust to what is needed in defence.
Nofo seems to be collecting his 4-year pension as I just haven't seen the determination in his return runs that have been his trademark over a lot of years. That coupled with his defensive issues have me thinking a stint in KOE might get an attitude adjustment.

We don't need 100s of threads asking why we're this (bad) and why we're that (pathetic)

It was reported Brisbane copped backlash for TPJ and Isaako talking to the Tigers.
Where's the backlash for the tigers playing so poorly for so long?
Where's the backlash for the woeful recruitment over the years and not having a FG backline that is at least standard level?

Heads need to roll.
The time is now.

Dogs fans are burning jerseys and leaving them in urinals at suncorp stadium.
Broncos fans left the jerseys at headquarters last year.

We need answers. We need improvement. And we need changes, immediately.

Madge is a flop.
Mbye is a flop.
BJ is a flop.
Talau is a flop.
Do we need to keep going ?

Why didn't Hartigan talk to Fitzgibbon about coming to coach us ? So we could fire this failure Madge?

We're standing by this guy and he has no idea what he's doing.

@Milky and @TheDaBoss have played enough rugby league live to manage a roster and bench rotation better than this stooge.

I'm not complaining.
Let the bill payers complain.

The club needs to hear this.
The club needs to understand this.

Let the fans vent. Let the fans show what they truly feel about the embarassment of the last 10 years that continues to this very day. How else will we change if the entire fanbase just *feigns* support regardless of performance?

My reply was to @Demps who said we don’t need 100’s of threads to say we suck..the vent is fine no one is saying you can’t.. just that there was 1 thread regarding Maguire to do just that in...

It boggles the mind that membership numbers go up every year. Either someone is fudging the figures or there are a hell of a lot of masochists out there ?

I train my sons under 14s footy team (Chester hill hornets). We look like a million dollars at training and everyone knows where to be and what lines or plays to run. Come game day, after a few sets it all goes out the window and they look like a team who hasn’t been coached (very embarrassing lol). Is it the coach or is it the players?? Is it that I’m not getting through to the players or will they play like us regardless of who is the coach? Sounds like a tigers dilemma lol.

Noffas return to reserve grade appeared to work last time, I remember him fighting his way back into first grade with a different attitude which now appears to have worn off

I think a return to reserve grade might work with Nofo. It did last time a couple of years ago when he fought his way back up to 1st grade .

Why don't We representing this forum send an email to Wests Tigers top management expressing our unhappiness with coach /players/ managementith coach /players/ management and also ask for a reply to our letter? Do you really believe these people (coach/players/ Wests Tigers
management) read this forum? . They don't, so wake them up.

Reply: Thanks for your letter, have you got your scarf yet to show your stripes? Have a lovely day.

Mate, do you really think the club is not busting their butts trying to get the right mix in the footy group to be successful?
