Doueihi coming over was largely because he wanted to be under Madge again let’s not forget

Madge did seem to be looking after him at halftime, I agree I don't think it had anything to do with Madge. I like seeing a bit of emotion, I like players showing they care.

Yeah even Ennis I think commented on it, that Adam was in deep discussions with Madge at halftime.

Hopefully the rest of the team saw how much he cares and it’s a kick up the ass for them. It’s good knowing he wants this club to succeed and isn’t here for the money like a lot of tigers signings end up going.

Lifted my respect for him, I have been a little critical of him but genuinely think he is a good footballer, just playing out of position.

If we can sign a good fullback I would be happy to move Adam to centre. Maybe 5/8, he has good long passing and his kicking is okay but not seen his short passing really. He did play there in the juniors, for now he’s the best fullback we have and has had good games there for us.

I think his passing is a little too inconsistent for 5/8th, he also seems to lack a spiral pass to move the ball quickly. I think he would be a very good centre.

I’m a Madge advocate but could this possibly be a sign that some are not able to cope with the level of intensity he brings to training/preparation. Are they having any fun?
If this is the case is the coach too tough or the players too soft?
Or this may not even be the issue - I’m just throwing out a possible scenario.

Maybe the team needs to get on the cans and have a laugh .

The real problem is that we need a genuine captain who inspire our players when the going gets tough. He has to be someone that earns his players respect. Moses as captain is a total sham.

The emotional footage of teammates consoling distraught Wests Tigers fullback Adam Doueihi shocked many - here’s the sad reason behind the star’s tears.

His tears were as much for his club as they were for his country.

While most rightly assumed a distressed Wests Tigers fullback Adam Doueihi’s post-game tears on Saturday night were due to last week’s tragic explosion in Beirut, he was also lamenting his own modest form and his side’s horrible performance against Newcastle.

Doueihi has Lebanese heritage — and has represented Lebanon in rugby league — but has no immediate family living in the country.

Having been handed the Wests Tigers’ fullback spot at the start of this season, Doueihi remains frustrated at his own form and that of his underachieving side, which has lost three successive matches.

And the emotion poured out after his team’s 44-4 loss to the Knights — television cameras capturing the vision of Doueihi in tears. Insiders claim Doueihi was “flat” at halftime and “upset” at fulltime.

“It bubbled over and came out, it was sad to see,” the source said. “He is disappointed and frustrated because Wests Tigers are better than how they’re performing. He has so much passion. And he only turned 22 years old last week, he’s still very young.”

Teammates, primarily Russell Packer, comforted Doueihi — who had the word Lebanon on his wrist tape — at fulltime.

“Adam is pretty passionate. He’s been a junior at Wests Tigers and he wants this club up where we all want it,” Tigers coach Michael Maguire said. “He showed a bit of passion around what the game means to him, and I can assure you that every player in that change room feels the same.”

Former premiership-winning hooker Michael Ennis said Doueihi was gutted at full time.

“Adam Doueihi is absolutely distraught,” Ennis said on Fox League.

“They’re concerning scenes. At halftime we got some shots, we couldn’t see his face but he was in deep discussions with Michael Maguire.

“We know he’s of Lebanese heritage and it’s been a really tough week with what’s gone on in Lebanon and it could possibly be that.”

Former Test and Queensland superstar Cooper Cronk also spoke passionately about Doueihi.

“It’s hard to talk over because you don’t know the pain and suffering that the young man is going through at the moment,” Cronk said.

“Our hearts are with him and we hope there are good times ahead for Doueihi, his family and the Lebanese community.”

Well one has to question if he was in the right frame of mind to play?
That's really a coaching/Player discussion.
In reality he had another shocker and that's now a few games in a row.
A few weeks back i was more thinking give him some time, he was generally safe under the high ball, but other factors were concerning, positional play and speed.
I really don't think he is a fullback and Madge is playing him there as no better option for now.
Reviewing tackle efficiency stats he is also our worst performing player this season and properly deserves to be dropped but replaced with whom.
