The Wash Up for the Blues

Another near miss and series loss and game 3 meaning nothing should mean wholesale changes for the Blues to get a start on next year's series.
I'd like to see Fifita, Tamou, Gallen, Farah, Jennings gone. Reynolds won't be right apparently, so Moylan to the halves and Tedesco in. Replacements for the others could be any of a bunch of players. Ryan James, Peats, Boyd, Cartwright even Nathan Brown…I don't care, but I want points, I want real changes.
Playing game 3 with the same group of repeat losers because they deserve a final send off is not on.
I need a beer. :brick:

I did not see a thing wrong with Farah's game (missed ten mins in second half). I think he even help set up the first try. maybe most responsible for it. We could go with someone faster from DH I agree.

But still no chance of winning with shocking refereeing decisions. Why wasn't Sam Thaiday sent off for remainder of game dumping Gallen on his head? Could have made difference of whom won.

I reckon send the same old pack of losers out again. Why task new faces with the job of cleaning up the others mess.

Well, Farah is a perennial loser. Apart from one grand final as a kid and 1 origin series win he's not done much really. Maybe he's just a bad luck charm. Yeah, he didn't do much wrong. Neither did any of them over the years but they keep losing. How much longer would you say we keep on the same path? I'm sure we could squeeze out a few more games of mediocrity if that's what you'd like.

That spear tackle was as bad as I've seen on a football field. Not even 10 minutes on the sideline. You can't throw a punch but you can put someone in a position where they can risk being paralysed , and only give away a penalty.
The Refs were too scared to do what they should have done. Wonder how many parents , mentally crossed Rugby League off the list of sports for their kids, after that tackle

Yup that tackle wasn't a good look, I said at the time to send him. But those gutless spineless refs weren't gonna do that. The two headed freaks would have thrown their beers. The imbeciles wouldn't understand they had cups mind you.
Anyways back to the topic Tedesco has to be in game 3, J Bird has got it put him in the centres in place of Walker whose never to be seen again in blue. Look you play Farah G Bird Jennings and Gallen as it is their last. But need some more punch off the bench in James instead of Fafita and don't know about Klemmer anymore either.
Hopefully next year Jarayd will be back playing in the centres . Need a team that can score points and put Dads army to bed once and for all.

IMO there is a lot to be positive about for NSW after last night. They lost the series sure, but were arguably the better side in both games-certainly game 2\. It is just the execution that continues to be their downfall, they are a very raw inexperienced group compared to Qld in the 6,7 and 1 positions where composure is invaluable.
NSW made enough half-chances in the first 30 minutes that if their execution was more precise they should of had 2 or 3 try gap on Qld at halftime. A couple of those grubbers are kicked dead whereas Thurston is spot on every single time to force repeat sets.
A few players should never be seen in a Blues jumper ever again:Walker and Mansour-they offer nothing. And Michael Jennings was so pathetic that he should of been thrown off the team plane and forced to walk back to Parramatta. He was a joke.
Farah, Gallen and G Bird will get their Origin send-offs in game 3 and maybe rightly so.
Frizell was great, Jack Bird looked comfortable in that arena, Maloney was threatening apart from a few wayward moments.
It isn't all doom and gloom, the class of Thurston proved the difference yet again but once the Blues' youngsters get 2 or 3 series under their belts they will be the dominant force. They will give it a big shake next year as it is.

Teddy would have run Gagai down and prevented Qlds first try.
And he would have beaten everybody to the ball at the time of Jennings's no-try.

Moylan offered nothing. It's obvious, Tedesco for Origin.

Teddy is definitely a better player than Moylan and he should be playing. Robbie was great again last night.

I think the NSW spine needs to improve. Tedesco should be there. Maybe Moylan should be at 6.

Frizzel would have ankle tapped Gagai a meter earlier and prevented the try had not Cronk held him back from the onset.

Agree though, Teddy would have made a difference in several critical moments

It is widely accepted that the spine is the most important factor in a footy team these days….people expecting the NSW spine which consists of roughly what? 20 games? worth of Origin experience to display the poise and game management of Qld's 100 or more games is a lofty expectation.

55 years ago I can always remember in my hometown why my mum was against me playing league - up the road on the corner was a twenty something guy with wife and kids, he was permanently in a wheel chair due to a broken neck caused during a game. Not much has changed in 55 years it appears.

I'd keep one of your experienced 3 for Game 3 , but not through want

Gallen and Bird stifle your attack too often , but on the other hand if Farah is retiring you'd want his replacement for the future to get a taste of SOO before the 2017 series

Yes, but not this year. I want to see JT refuse to release Tedesco, the first NRL coach to put his club before a meaningless marketing concept. Wests Tigers should come first

Seriously….all this cr*p they go on with...."that's an origin run" or "that's an origin tackle." It's absolute rubbish.

IMO Moylan will turn into a fine Origin player. NSW problem will be fitting him, Tedesco and Dugan all in the team in years to come.

Moylan will need to move to 5/8 in club football and start getting used to it. The only way I see him in the team in years to come is in that position( barring injury). Tedesco, Dugan and I believe Hayne will all be in the side next year. Of course 12 months is a long way off and a lot of things can happen.

Hopefully Daley the loyalist fool sticks with the same side. Don't want Teddy getting picked in a meaningless game three when we need him playing for us against the Bulldogs in round 18\. Oh and I need him in my Supercoach team.

Haha…..... It's Bozo and Loz, all 3 will be there. Who's to say anyone they use to replace them with this year will be selected next year either through form or injury anyway.

In a way I think it would be disrespectful to the " culture" they claim to be trying to build to drop your long serving captain for a dead rubber. I'm not a fan of Gallen, but I don't think many people could claim he hasn't given everything he could for NSW and it's been over a long period of time. Who knows maybe a couple of players could show how much they love this state, be unselfish, retire immediately from Origin to allow the rebuilding to begin............ Nah, there's 30k in it.

I know Qld have a smaller pool to pick from , but NSW really need to follow the Qld line of pick and stick

You pick the hooker you feel will be the future (whether it be Peats or Lichaa or whoever ) and you stick with them

Same with the halves and fullback

Game 3 is an excellent chance to make some changes and see what does and doesn't work with an eye to the future

People say that Gallen and Farah have earned the right to a send off , that's is utter garbage , they earned the right to a send off if they win Game 1 or 2

If anything they prove why they shouldn't have been picked in the first place in my opinion

On the Farah question , any news how he pulled up from the accidental knee in the head he got from Woods ??
